Recorded message from 458-206-0166 (Bend, Oregon area code and prefix) offering help with overdue IRS taxes. I am on national Do Not Call list, and intend to report the number as in violation. Recorded message offers two choices: Push "1" to talk to someone, supposedly about overdue taxes (I have none); or "2" supposedly to be taken off list (which I suspect is just another attempt to sucker someone (perhaps elderly) into some kind of phone scam. I also intend to report to Washington State consumer protection office in attorney general's office, just so they know about this possible (likely) scam.

It is a computer message calling people at random to see who will take the bait that has tax debt or back taxes owed to the IRS or the state that you reside in. If do not want them to call you, just call that number back and input any number to be deleted from their system. It is a random solicitation but they imply that they know your situation but they do not know anything.
