When I answered phone the caller sounded from another country. He said he needed me to go to computer because there was viruses on it and he was the only one to get them off. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. He got mad because I wouldn't give him the information that he wanted. So he hung up on me.

You are exactly correct it is a BIG SCAM to extort money from you and steal personal information off your computer. You can read about this type of scam on Microsoft's website here:

Calls from 458-623-8098, He said he needed to help me fix my computer and I needed to have it on and he would tell me what to do . I hung up on him. I do not think anyone should call and ask you to do this.

Just received a call from a guy with an accent, which could be Arabic. He says that my computer has unwanted junk files that were downloaded from the internet and need to be removed or it will do great harm to my computer. I asked him how they got on there and he said they are downloaded all time when we use the internet and we are unaware of them, but if we fail to remove them, it will destroy our computer. I asked him how he knows they are there and he said that his company has had many complaints, so he is calling to help us fix it before we notice a big problem. He asked is I was sitting in front of my computer. I said no. He asked me to go to the computer then and he will help me find them and fix them. I said I would take care of it later, to which he said I couldn't do it without his help. I finally told him that if I found I needed help, I would have someone I know locally take care of it for me. He didn't like that, so I hung up on him.

Seems to be a scam. Said that he represents microsoft. says there is problem with my computer and he wants me to follow the procedure he gives. I told him to send the same by e-mail, he refused. Recently there was a scam like this at my work place also. Voice sounds like Indian.

The speaker spoke in what sounded a lot like Arabic. CID listed "unknown name"
