I've been getting this text from  9099 with the message: Gateway Regional alert, please cal 480 717 4914.

We both have Sprint phones and got text messages on both our phones.  We do not text and I personally went in and told sprint I did not want that option when I bought the phone (because of 2 teens who would likely run the bill up).  So I was perplexed when the calls came from Gateway Regional ALERT at 480-717-4914 -one message was at 7pm Sunday.  I called the information operator to find out the area of the 480 number and was told it was from Arizona. Not knowing anyone there, I became suspicious...BUT because we do have fraud alerts on accounts, I could not put this to rest- until at 5:30 AM I decided to check the internet...thank you for putting this site up! This no doubt has cost me a phone charge; but also Sprint will be getting a call from me today!

I have sprint phone i recd text 9099: Gateway Regional alert. Please Call 480 717 4914.  I have never heard of them either. I have a St. Louis Phone # but Live in Indiana so i dont know where this came from. I got text 12/20/09 907pm my time eastern time.

This is totally a scam.  My text said it was from JPMorgan, but when I called the number back I swear that is said Gateway Credit Union and it asked for my account number.

they texted me but w/ the name Gateway Rgional Please Call 480 717 4914 both my husband ani recieved the text we are also / Sprint!!

My tesxt message came from 9099, stating "Gateway Regional Alert. Please call 480-707-4914".  This came through on my Sprint phone.

I just gave them all of my information and they said that they were updating my account and that they needed my bank account number and routing number and all of that stuff. After I gave them all of the info they requested I realized that I don't have an account at their credit union. Is this really a scam ???
Do you think they will take money out of my account, I just put in my
$15,000 Christmas bonus. I hope that all of you on the site are wrong and that this not a scam !!!!

480-717-4914 just sent a text to my 12 year old's Sprint phone.  I want to know who is behind this number, and if I find out they are affiliated with Sprint, they will lose my business.

I got a call from 480-717-4914 on my cell asking from my credit card number, expiration date, and four digit pin number.  I enter a fake number the system accepted the information and hung up.

Received text at 9:35am December 21, 2009 from Gateway Regional alert.  Please call 480 717 4914.  Also have sprint and came through as a 9099.  Someone has too much time on their hands and has probably recently lost their job with sprint since they have been downsizing this past year.  Whoever it is must have inside knowledge of sprint texting codes and how to access the system.  Hope they catch this person(s).

I have received two text messages.  I knew that it was crap but it was good to be able to confirm from all the other people who have commented.  Someone should be able to find the source and string them up by their thumbs.

480-717-4914 or 9099 is a total scam.  We have 6 Sprint phones in our family and everyone got the same message over the last couple days.  I entered radom numbers when the "automated" message said to and it just kept looping.  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER....EVER.... give out any personal info over a text!

i've received this twice within the last week.  I googled and found others getting the same thing.  How can this pest get blocked?  If they have my cell number they may have other info abt me.

This is a spam message.  This time it said "Gateway Regional Alert: call 480-717-4914".  Ignore it.

diddo.  my husband and I have received a total of 5 texts in the last 2 days from this 9099 number.  Calling my provider tomorrow to have it blocked (hopefully)

if you get a call from any 9099 caller its a scam and they are phising for your credit card info - do not call back

I just got this from 9099

and then five minutes later
customer issue, us bank service locked. go at www usbankservices net

I live in Columbia Missouri and also use Sprint.
