The calls are for donations for the pa constable association.  They are rude ad hell.

Caller purports to be from Microsoft Technical Support claiming that your Windows computer is infected and sending error messages to their central server.  I don't have a Windows machine at home, but as a computer software developer for Mac and Windows I played along.  He went through a series of steps to try and convince you that your computer is indeed infected (showing you normal Windows operations errors and warning as well as opening a folder from the Windows Run box and appending the word virus to it and telling you that all those files have viruses (it opened the folder with the first term and second did nothing).

I can only imagine that he was planning on selling me a service to clean these things up and all I have to do is hand him my credit card....  

Caller was in a bullpen of other callers and sounded like he was located internationally.

These people call our house just about every day.  I believe they are trying to solicit donations for law enforcement but they are unbelievably rude.  One actually said "I'm not bothering you."  I requesting numerous times to have our number taken off their list but so far it has not worked.  Just got another call.  Anyone know how to block these numbers from calling?

Called to reqest donations for the Reading Police

We receive calls daily at my office from people trying to scare one of my staff members into providing their social security number and other private information over the phone to "clear up a legal matter" or to pay them for some bogus claim of a law suit. Today's call came from "William Scott" in Allentown, PA from the "Oak View Law Firm".  Amazingly these people always have names like Paul, William, John and Mark, but American dialect confuses them...somehow I just don't think that they are actually located in the US!!!!!

People this is some type of scam these numbers are all related 484-223-2987, 2989.2990,and 2991 is a fax machine so if you have access to a fax machine bombard that 484-223-2991 with faxes and mayby add some of your own nasty words to it and tell them to back of that they are being reported and watches by whoever for fraud and not to call the number you are at again it might help. Im gonna bombard them with so many faxes their fax machine will burn up and run out of paper I live in Pa I dont know where you others are from but this is the area they are hitting and seems to be at random i think its an auto dialer that waits for people to pick up and they are fishing for personal info. So dont give it out

I am getting the same calls im in Pa and the same thing happens to me I call the number back and sometimes its busy and sometimes they pick up and say nothing

I had the same issue about five minutes ago. He called and asked if he could speak to "my mommy or daddy" I asked who is calling he said Bob from pennslyvania. I told him I was the owner of the home and He said very funny and hung up.

Just called and asked for me by name; wife said I was busy and he said he would call back.   Didn't recognize the number.

Please someone tell me how I can report this company - American Legal Services.  They have called me from 267-217-3176,  484-223-3753 and many blocked #'s.  They are calling my office for someone I have never heard of.  I have explained this is the wrong # but they continue to call me over and over.  I have now been cussed out by a man from another country claiming his name is David Jackson.  I'm tired of this company harrassing me and I want to put an end to this.  Please someone help me!!  This is a collection agency claiming they are going to sue someone.

Bobby is correct- calls from 484-223-2995 and 2989 are someone soliciting donations supposedly for holiday toys for children of fallen officers. It could be a scam though. They are very very rude. Sometimes there is no CID and it's just Unknown Caller. They usually hang up on me. The last guy was persistent about getting $ but not impolite. I didn't donate because it could be any old con artist. These people should not be allowed to invade our privacy. Also, FYI- The Do Not Call Registry doesn't guarantee you will not still get calls from undesirables. In fact, you will notice that you get more calls right after you register/renew because the offenders have 30 days to add you to their DNC lists. They try to reach you before the 30 days are up  .

This company collects monies for police and fire etc, they are rude, do not respect the do not call lists etc. Do what I do, Tell them you will find the person they have asked for and then put the phone down and go get the mail, tying up their time is much more fun than hanging up.

This guy calls me almost every day. Calls me by first and last name. Probably for some kind of donation. This stuff is so annoying. There should be a law against the whole telephone marketing system. It's a total invasion of privacy and so annoying....

This moron is still calling me months after I reported him to the do not call registry. Does that registry actually do anything?

A man with this number just called me and said "hello?" 3 times as if he couldn't hear me.

A man called me by name, my first and then married name,  he made it sound as if he knew me and then just hung up.

What can anyone possibly gain from making all of these meaningless calls?

He became nasty and said "very funny" and hung up

The person was very rude. The male stated he would keep calling and hung up on me.
