received a call from a ms. johnson said she needs my ss# to verify who I am would not provide any information on what company she works for stated she worked for no comapny and I either give her my ss# or she will mark on file I refuse and have me served with court documents. I sadi go ahead this number and the other number 347-426-1952 have been report to my attorney generals office and the ftc as fraud.
if a debt collect contacts you they must verify the name of the company they work for so you can research to see if it is a true company not only that but once they contact you the have 5day to send you informatuion on the debt for which they are trying to collect on. it is the law and if they refuse they are a scam and everyone should report them each time they recevie call to get them shut down.
