This is a bottom feeder debt collector. They spend pennies on the dollar buying up really old debts and try to bully people into giving out personal information. Give them NOTHING. They imply they are representing a "plaintiff", and on top of that, it is a robo call, which is illegal. My recorded phone call called itself "Chad Thomas", but I'm quite sure it's a false name.  Report them to your attorney general. They are trying to reach someone that does NOT live in my home, and never has. We just happen to have the same last name.

The recorded message they leave is a LIE. They are LIARS and are breaking the law.

Hang up and if they continue to harass you get a lawyer.

The glory days are over for these scumbag liars.  They pay a few pennies on the dollar for old debt that isn't worth the paper its not printed on hoping to sucker people.  Don't fall for it. Know your rights!

This is a post about the telephone number 863-594-1782 not the 503 number.  I received a recorded message similar to the other post except from a "Chad Thomas" who also pretended to have legal papers to serve.   They were calling for someone who has not lived here in years and who is now deceased.  When I tried calling the "plantiff" at the 888 number they left,  they said all representatives were busy and to leave a message.  The message said it was Abbott, Newman and Associates.  The first time I tried to call the 863 number, they said that my call had been forwarded to the "legal" department.  I would love to help with shutting these people down if indeed it is a hoax.  It must be against the law here in Florida also.  I willl have to check with the Attorney General's office.

I just got a phone call also with the same message about not being able to reach me and will be serving me.

I got hit with this one today.   They apparently tried to call my sister as well and left her a message too.  Message said the name was "Chad Thomas".

These kinds of lying tricksters should be shut down and put in prison.

Def a scam.  I got that same call from this number a couple of weeks ago.  Then today I got a call with the same recorded message from a florida number 863-594-1782.   The message tells me I can contact the "plaintif" and gives me the number to some lifestyle/employment training center (or that's how the website I found on google portrays it) in Chicago.  I find it funny that the recorded message tells me that "since they couldn't reach me by phone... bla blah blah"  when I've ANSWERED the phone.  Anyway, to the person who's contacting the Atty General... hope you shut this one down!

I just got a call 5 mins ago too

I'm in California and I just now got the same phone call too. I'm not calling them, and I see nothing filed with the county courthouse. Another scam!

A recorded message from "Erick Kogan", probably not his real name, tells he has legal documents and he was going to meet me somewhere, but since I didn't answer he was turning it over to some 1=800 number/  Abbot and Associates, who actually are bottom feeder scamming debt collectors. Pretending to be a law officer, or implying one is being sued is against the law in Texas, and I WILL be contacting my
Attorney General.  It won't be the first junk debt collector I've got shut down - I'm their worst nightmare.  I have all the time in the world to pursue this.  Also, there was no one here by the name they were looking for, we've lived here 10 years, and had the phone number for 10 years, so even if the person they were looking for exists, I'll bet they are trying to collect on really old debts.  Give these people NO INFO whatsoever, they are scam artists.
