The only recourse is to not answer.  I have blocked countless numbers and they just keep changing them to new ones.  I just never answer any call that is not in my address book on my phone.  If it is a real call that it is important they will either leave a message.

I keep getting a call from 503-457-1166.  Sometimes I pick up to tell them to stop and there is no one there and no recording.  I just want them to stop.

I received 2 calls from this number in less than 2 hours today.

These are probably spoofed numbers.  It doesn't do any good to report them to the FCC because only legitimate telemarketers are affected by laws restricting their calls.  These are not legitimate businesses (note they never give an actual business name) but scammers trying to validate which phone numbers are in use.  By pressing 1 to remove your number, you validate that it is a working number and pretty much guarantee your number will be resold.  There is no solution.  I have changed my standard ring tone to silent and make profiles for all of my contacts that include a tone that will ring.  I google missed calls some of the time to make sure I'm not missing a call I want, but basically if I want to hear from someone, they are in my contact list and otherwise I see missed calls but they don't bother me.

The solution is to call the number back.  I did and a recorded message directed me to press "1" to prevent further calls.  I did and it worked.

These vatos called me at about 11:45am today.  I didn't answer, but based on all the firme  comments above my maceta, it looks like this vato here did the right thing; hopefully, these ojetes calling me from that peseta-a** 503 will stop calling me and harassing me, ese.

The Do Not Call list is only that; a list. When you file a complaint, your complaint is placed into a database that law enforcement can use to build cases against these criminals. The FCC and FTC actually do nothing to enforce the law. They merely maintain the database.

This information is listed right there on the DNC page. Even if everyone filed a complaint, it would take a long time before actual punishment is delivered. Meantime, we all endure more of these calls. Afterwards, these scammers start over with another number/scheme.

Gotten 2 calls in the last hour. Calling back and pressing 1 to be removed does nothing but identify your number as a live target.

I get calls from this # at least 2 times daily.....I don't answer it,hoping the dead brains will get the idea. But the ONE time that I did call that number back, a recording told me to pree #1 to quit getting these calls,BUT, it may take up to 24 hrs to get off their list.....Bull_ _ _ _  2 days later they were calling again......It's times like this that I could reach my hands through the phone and choke someone.... Some sort of telemarketing.   I have received several calls all identified as USF but with different telephone numbers.   As said below, when you call back they say to press 1 to be removed from the list which I have done.   It will be interesting to see if they call again.   Do not call list doesn't seem to do much or matter to them.   I get loads of calls every day from different numbers and organizations.

These are the same idiots that I have cussed at numerous times to stop calling my cell. They also called my home # and I cussed at him again. Always the same stupid guy. Beware, they use these different numbers to get past your blocked calling list:  503-457-1274, 503-563-0339, 503-468-5227, 425-390-8156, 360-529-6181. If he calls me again, he's going to get an ear-full and I am going to threaten to file a complaint with our state D.A.

This is the only thing that is going to help folks.

People,  The reason you hear no one is that they have a computer call more numbers than they have people to talk on the calls based on a percentage of calls that they think will answer.  

The do not call list won't work, they have a way to spoof the calling number, making it appear as a different number or they have multiple lines with different numbers.

If no one would answer any of the calls it would go away, but I have friends and family that answer and talk to them.  

The only way to try and fix this is to file a complaint with the FCC.  I have not verified it, but was told you file a complaint from the do not call page.  If we all started filing complaints maybe they would do something.  I keep putting them on my block list but you can only have so many blocked.  I think the phone companies should be required to block as many numbers as we want.

When I called back - it said you have received a call for a marketing firm.  To remove yourself from the callback list - press 1.

Telemarketer

this number caller id has "V4191" and a bunch of other numbers on the name portion, but the phone number is this 503-457-1166 every time.  They are calling us 5 times a day.  Have not answered but I'm about to tell them to @#$%^&* off.

This caller is unbelievable.  They call from a number for a while, then change their number and keep calling.  This has been going on for LONG time.  They appear to be indifferent to if not defiant of the FCC if repeated calling of folks on the Do Not Call Registry is any indication, which I AM.

I keep receiving calls from this number. A message is never left and upon returning their call always no answer. I thought our govt.no call list blocked these calls.

I received a call from 503-457-1166 at was a little after 7:00 A.M.  Not even the telmaketers call that early in the morning.  Thanks for the info to report this number.
