Got a call, answered it, no one said anything on the other line but I could hear it was open. After about 10 seconds of me saying "Hello?", other end hung up.

Called them back, rings once then goes to voicemail which then announces it is full.

Received a call from this number @ 5:30 pm.

No one responded but the line was open.

answered the phone to dead air. calling back sends to voice mail with a full mailbox. how do we report these?

CID says "California" yesterday night at 6:20 got the "police fund" thing, I was 1/2 asleep wanted to know if I was over 18 (I am) but I said no, wanted to talk to someone over 18 and I said that no one was, and hung up.  This number has been calling for months now, like at least once a week.

I received a call from this phone again today. Caller ID California. The person spoke to me this time saying he is raising funds for the California Police Dept - some fund for against drunk driving. Now I remember this same person had talked to me previously about similar fund rising event. Other few times the caller did not speak but did not disconnect immediately either!

They called 3:30 on Tuesday---I said hello several times but no response. Same thing happened last week.

Calls and hangs up

We just received a call at 9 a.m. on Sunday.  The caller identified himself as being from a policeman's fund attempting to raise money for children.  I believe it is an effort at identify theft.  He will use your name and attempt to get your address so that they can send you something.  Don't give your name or address.  Tell them that they have the wrong number or just hang up.

Got a call for the third time.  It says "Oakland  CA" on my caller ID.  When I answered no one said anything so I just talked like I was drunk for a while to see if I'd get a response but got nothing.  Called the number back and it said that the extension was not available.  I am gonna look into this more to see if I can get a hold of someone.

I did not answer, they did not leave a message.

They just called me. My mom looked at the ID, it said California. I thought it was a college I had applied to, answered it and they never spoke. =[ Don't really know what's up with that...

This number is calling me on a regular basis, they stay on the line long enough for the voicemail to pick up, but they hang up, so I have a voicemail box full of dead air messages. Then, last night, they called again, this time the message clearly had the background noise of people talking, then a man declared "your desktop post office" and the message stopped. I don't know what to make of it.

I got a call from them. MY CID said "California". I called them back and it said that the number is unavailable. I have a theory, someone paid these guys to dial numbers in sequence and find out which are live numbers. Well whoever is buying my number is gonna have to pay 10 grand in fines if they call me cuz I'm on the Do-not-call list :)

Received a call from at 6:57 on veterans day when I answered there was no one on the other end.

CID said California, just hung up.

Getting sick of this! Got a call again tonight, 10/15 @ 8:59pm; also on 10/14 @ 6:02pm, on 10/12 @7:54pm.  Same thing happens when I answer the phone - there is no one there and then they hang up.  Tried to call the number back and there was a recording that said to leave a message, but then it says that the mailbox is full.

Someone from this number calls every day. No one is ever there.

Don't answer it!  They'll ask for you by name, and when you say yes they'll hang up.  Most be verifying phone numbers, but for what evil purpose?

Tried calling them back, but the voice mail message says that this extension isn't available to take your call and then tells you there message box is full.  Weird.

they called my house today at noon and there was nobody there! arg.

A fellow identified himself as calling for some Policeman's Fund, saying his name was "Mark" (I remember, because it's the same name as mine).  I informed him -- as nicely as I could -- that we don't do donations by telephone.  He replied, "Yeah, well, we don't either.  GEEK!!" and hung up.  I don't know if this was a legitimate caller for a policeman's fund or not; if so, is this what policing has come to stand for?  Government and charitable calls may not fall under the Federal No-call List law, but it's still an invasion of privacy, and should be respected as such when these calls are made.  Maybe it wasn't a legitimate caller -- but if not, what would be in it the caller?  It's hard to know what to make of it.

They called...left no message... I called back and it says they are unavialiable. This is a brand new iphone with new number a week old. I only gave this number out looking for a job.
