I work for Burke INC as an interviewer.  I basically make 12 dollars an hour on the weekend to sit on my fat rear end, push a few buttons, and annoy the heck out stupid people who answer the phone when it states "restricted" or "unavailable."

Yeah, that's my job...and I LOVE it!

For all of you people on here that are complaining about the phone calls...Why are you answering in the first place? Actually, why do you even have a home phone to begin with?! Welcome to the 21st Century!

As far as the threats pertaining to reporting me to the Federal Do not call or else list....don't make me laugh! Do you actually think that scares me!??? That makes me laugh!

The truth is that I get paid a pretty descent amount of money to sit there and basically do nothing.  So, the jokes on you for answering the phone.

If you really want us to stop calling...All you got to do is scream profanity into the phone or tell us to put you on the do not call list.  Do it more than once and I promise you it will work

These posts make me laugh...Oh and by the way, I never get solicitation calls.  You know why? Because, I have a cell phone and no home phone...And anytime my cell phone rings and I don't know who it is, I simply don't answer it.  If it's important enough, that person will leave me a message!

A check on a reverse phone number site says it is a landline phone and the carrier isCincinnati Bell telephone Company in Milford Ohio

I'd have to pay to get the persons name

I had a call that rang three times then they hung up before I could pick up.

Got a call from this number today, rang 4 or 5 times and hung up with no message,
513-576-5713.  It seems like some of these anonymous numbers are being originated by Skype to solicit signing up for SKYPE calling.

The receptionist is right and you are wrong, you idiot. Marketing and research companies do not have to adhere to the Do Not Call Registry (in each and every 50 states, yes that sadly includes Wisconsin) because they do not sell you anything. The DNC list is for people who try to sell you things.

Received a call from this number. Hung up before I could answer. I followed the above link, and called their 1-800 number, and talked to a receptionist. I informed her that I was on a DO NOT CALL list, and she said "Marketing and Research" did not have to follow that. I informed HER that in Wisconsin, OH YES, THEY DO! She said she would forward my telephone number to have it removed. We'll see...

received a call at 7:24 pm today 6-24-10, all caller id said was ohio, didnt leave message
when called back it says it is not a working number

You can call 1-800-688-2674  and request your phone number be removed from their list

I received my first call from these folks today. Very nice young lady who said they were doing a survey and hired by US Cellular. It was about customer satisfaction. I laughed and told her my wife (that she asked to speak to) was at work. She actually DOES work for US Cellular in their customer regional call center. The young lady was taken by surprise and thanked me and said goodbye. I'd say I won't get any more calls from them. Pretty ironic!

I received this call from OHIO caller ID but unknown source.  I signed up for NO CALLS for unsolicited business phone calls.

Same story as the other posts... I received a call from this number at 6:35 pm EDT, no message left. I did a reverse number look up, and it comes back to a cell phone.

Called me 6:35pm. Damian Young with Burke Inc. to do survey. told him on DNC. He said doesn't apply to them. Forgot to ask what the survey about---Don't give any personal info to some unknown person doing a survey.  Told him I turn these calls into the FCC, but I think Federal Trade commision is the proper place.

I believe they call randomly dialed numbers off of a computer generated list for instance 299-1234, it owuld go to 299 2234 and so on. They called us too.

Some one called us from this Ohio number, who is it and what do they want?

If you call the number back there is a voice mail message telling you to leave your number and they will not bother you again.  Did it today, let's see if it works.

Received a call 4/16/2010 said they were US Cellular doing a survey on its customers.  The Caller ID listed OHIO .  The callers name was Brandon. What is this number?

oct. 2, 7:49pm my phone rang from this number, no message was left. i have no idea who was trying to contact me or how they obtained my cell phone number.

Got a call saying they were from a survey company and asked if there were any males in the house over 18. I said no (they just weren't available at the time), then he asked for a female over 18. I said that was me and he asked if I used the internet. I said yes, and he abruptly said, Oh, I see that category has been filled already, and he hung up.

Doesn't really sound legitimate to me.

got a call, answered it and there was no one there.  hung up.

recvd call on 1-14-08 @10pm- wanting to speak to my husband. informed them that he wasn't home and they were returnng a call he had about his harley davidson financing. He never called them or had such a question.  infoormed them that i could help them and they were very short to respond- now when can we call and talk to him. Told them next week or so and them i tried to call them back numerous times, but no answer. Very short and persistant on the phone conversations

Received this # on caller ID about 3:30 pm 12/16/08.  No message left.  I don't recognize this no.

Called at 12:15 pm today, showed up on caller ID (as number and "Ohio") but left no message

I rec'd a call on my mobile phone from this same number at 6:43PM,  14 Jan 2009.
Hung up after 2 or 3 rings.
I have a Sprint phone.
Don't know why anyone from this number would call me.
Has anyone tried the above suggested number (1-800-688-2674) to get removed from calling list?
