JULIE...

The calls are coming from a company called Strategic Fundraising.  Please feel free to call the number back to verify that.

----
"just answer the phone once and ask to be taken off their list"

I did.  I asked politely.  Not only did I ask politely ? I also used the automated method to have my phone number taken off.  It is two days later, and I am still getting phone calls from this number.

----
?feel all powerful and mighty swear at them and yell while you're doing it - prove what big men you are
to verbally abuse an unpaid volunteer?

Nonsense.  If it makes you feel justified demonizing someone that does not appreciate the incessant phone calls, I understand human nature and your motivations.  Again, [as for me] I did not swear or yell at anyone.  As far as unpaid volunteer - the phone number is used by a company called Strategic Fundraising, which is being paid by the Bachmann campaign.  That hardly sounds like an unpaid volunteer.

----
?Political campaigns and non-profit organizations do not have to abide by the DNC list - they are exempt.?

I did not say that they were required to abide.  From my point of view, it is a question of wisdom, judgment, and decorum.  Incessant phone calls and phone calls on a Sunday before noon are not wise methods of campaigning.

----
?BO's campaign does the exact same thing so stop getting your knickers in a twist.?

This is exactly the reason that Bachmann?s campaign is suffering.  With foolish statements like this, I can understand why the Bachmann staffers in New Hampshire quit and indicated that the Bachmann handlers had been "rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and at times cruel".

----
?Stop whining and answer your darn phone.?  ?Once and you're done.  Sheesh...whiney babies.    Tell Congress to stop the exemptions if you're really upset about it.  Or go have some nice cheese.....?

If Bachmann has surrounded herself with individuals like you, I very much regret donating to her campaign.

Honestly folks - just answer the phone once and ask to be taken off their list! If it makes you feel all powerful and mighty swear at them and yell while you're doing it - prove what big men you are to verbally abuse an unpaid volunteer.   Political campaigns and non-profit organizations do not have to abide by the DNC list - they are exempt.  BO's campaign does the exact same thing so stop getting your knickers in a twist.   They ARE bound by the law to take your number off THEIR list if you ask.   Stop whining and answer your darn phone.   Once and you're done.  Sheesh...whiney babies.    Tell Congress to stop the exemptions if you're really upset about it.  Or go have some nice cheese.....

Update to prior message?
Apparently, Bachmann campaign is paying a company to call those who have donated to her campaign.  IMHO ? her campaign handlers are driving her campaign into the dirt.
I called the number back?got an automated message and was able to add my number to an internal do-not-call list?got a call about 1.5 hours later from same number (apparently, the do-not-call list does not update quickly).  I asked caller to please add my number to do-not-call list.

Phone call from Michelle Bachmann?s presidential campaign?

They have been calling incessantly.  I finally answered to find out who was calling.  They essentially want another campaign donation.  Why?...so, I can be pestered with incessant phone calls again.  They even called again today - before noon on a Sunday; keep in mind, this is a month or so after I answered and spoke to one of her campaign callers.  Regarding any of my donations to charities and campaigns, I do not recall any phone calls ever ? except from the Bachmann campaign.  Bad judgment?to say the least?perhaps my own included - for making a donation in the first place...

We are ALL on no-call-lists.  You simply need to tell the person calling from THIS number that you would like to be put on THEIR no-call-list.  While I'm sure most of you hate MB, I'm kinda sure it's not her campaign that's doing something wrong to get our numbers...  It's obviously some OTHER place where we actually GAVE OUT our numbers that is selling them when they shouldn't.  I honestly doubt she or her people are doing anything sinister here.....  If for no other reason - the cost to benefit ratio to her campaign would be counter productive.  It's just simple logic.

An ethical, honest candidate would make sure they screen their call lists against the DNC. Just because something is legal doesn;t mean it's ethical or moral, and when someone has placed their number on the DNC it should tell people that they do not wish to be bothered, candidates like that sniveling self serving religious hypocrite bachmann could care less if they intrude though, negative publicity feeds their ego just as much as postive, and it's easier to get. The world will be a much better place when people like her are gone.

You might want to know the laws before you say someone is breaking them.... LEGALLY politicals calls are exempt from the DNC list. If the other candidates aren't calling you, they just aren't bothering or didn't get you name from anywhere they're drawing them from.

I'm thinking it's be a lot wiser to call and ask them to remove you from the call list and vote for the best person regardless. They ALL do this. lol Not really the best way to pick the Leader of the Free World....

It is the Michelle Bachmann campaign. They have called me six times in the past two days and it wasn't until I picked up did I learn who it was considering no one ever left a message. They just want a couple minutes of your time asking routine questions about current support regarding Bachmann verses the other Republican candidates for President, etc.
Just pick up once, answer the questions, and be done with it -- that's how I work! :)

Hope this helps!

I took a call myself from this exact number this afternoon -- a young man called from MB's presidential campaign to ask 3 questions:  1) Are you attending the Ames Straw Poll Aug. 13th? 2) Which candidate will you be choosing at the Straw Poll?  3)  Do you plan to attend the GOP caucuses in 2012?  ONLY at the very, very end of the 30-45 second call did the caller blurt out, "This call is on paid for/on behalf of the MB Pres. Campaign..."  Hope that helps!
