oh and if i may ask how many of us getting this call have verizon phones?? please like or comment if you have a verizon then we can have some evidence against them!

im 22 never had a credit card or anything keep telling me i owe on a credit card and medical bills. i have neither and just want them to stop calling, have asked many times to stop calling and they never do. isnt this illegal or something? can anyone help me find out how to stop the harrasment??

They called a cell phone that nobody has the number to. As far as I'm concerned - if they're unwilling to leave a message, they're not legit.

Thy call everyday and dont leave a message. I don't answer if I don't know who is calling so it is not a bother to me.

I( my son) have received from 5159547693 who is in High School gets call from them, and they state who the call is for and tells they want us to call them back and also tells him of any balances due. However when he states that the number they are calling is not ours they hang up the phone, great way to share my private information. Everytime we have called them back it either rings, tells us it is a number not in service or they are really rude to use, i would like to know how to get them to stop calling, since they dont work well with taking payments, and when your unemployed thats about all you can afford.

I just received a new phone# from Verizon and have given the number out to a total of 6 individuals.  How could CBE have my number if Verizon didn't provide it to them.  I believe Verizon is selling personal info to various companies without my/our consent! I'm sure there's some small print that I missed that probably allows them to do this crap.

This is a collection agency that government and state institutions use. For example if there is a portion of a hospital bill you owe or have owed in the past, back fees to state universities etc. They are extremely persistent but it has been my experience over the past 6 years that they will never report it to the credit agencies. I have had an ongoing saga with an insurance company that keeps reporting me as having Medicare and owing money to a hospital where I have been. It goes on and on and I have talked to Medicare, social security, the hospital, my insurance and this dang CBE Group more hours than anyone ever should. If they call just hang up.

Started receiving calls from this number yesterday.  3 total between 1 pm and 8 pm.  2 more this morning between 9 am and noon.  When I answer with our business name, which happens to be a funeral home, they just hang up.  Sure wish they'd remove our number, as this is becoming very annoying.  Thank the lord for caller ID.

Yep, when my hospital wouldn't accept the $50 a month I agreed to pay, they forwarded my bill to these jerks, who call even though I continue to pay THEM $50 a month.  sigh.

Called. Won't leave MSG. When will these people get it that people don't answer calls they don't know! They need to get a life!

I work for a retail company that is receiving calls from 515-954-7693; it definitely is CBE Group. (We closed a store and ended up with a past due balance on an MCI telephone account that somehow was not paid in a timely manner & was handed over to this collection agency before we paid the final bill.)

I too was receiving several calls from this number without any voicemails left. I called back today and was told it was the CD (?) Group, which is a collection agency. They were calling to attempt to settle a debt on a medical bill I had from the Iowa Health group. The debt was legit, so this is unfortunately a legitimate bill collector agency.  The agent with whom I spoke was very polite, friendly and professional.

They use any number you give at the doctors office which is usually your cell if you really want to hear back from your doctors office about test results or whatever.

Its a collection agency called the cbe group, its usually used when you owe for past due medical bills.

Are you saying they are a collection agent for Verizon,as in collecting delinquent  or over due account owed to Verizon? I get these calls all the time,but never answer,as I don't recognize the #. I am a Verizon customer,but have always been current,and don't owe them any money.I would certainly like to confront Verizon about this if that is the case,just not up for jumping through all the hoops if this is not really true that they are trying to collect a for a Verizon account.

I get those calls too.  It's CBE Group from Cedar Falls, IA (Collection Agency for Verizon phone).  Just don't understand why a collection agency would use a cell phone

I receive a call from this number between the hours of 8am and 9pm. They leave no messages.

This is a cell phone number.  They identify themselves as being the CBE group.  Call constantly even early in the morning.  normally don't answer but told them I'm sick to please stop calling me.

called tonight.   cbe group   would not tell my wife what they wanted.  jerks

They have been calling from 8:01am- 8:11pm up to 5 times per day. They ask for personal information but when i and who they are the lady is argumentative and bullying. I reminded her she called me and I dont give out info to people who refuse to identify themselves. Very harrassing.

The only outstanding debt I have is for American express credit card and this number is who calls daily but never leaves messages.

This number has called me in upwards of ten calls or more every week for the past three weeks so far.  It's really annoying.
