calls almost every day/  totally rude a**hole

I got a call from this idiot about 20 minutes ago.  He told me he was from a financial debt company and that I owe over $10K in credit cards.  I don't have credit cards.  When I asked him what the debt was for he said "Are you stupid, or just an a**hole?"  I then said, "F you" and hung up.  When I tried to call the number back, I got a recording saying this that 516/488-8552 is not a working number.  SCAMMER!  and a rude one at that.  If anyone out there feels the need to beat him, please add a punch for me.  I am going to make a police report of this - may or may not do any good, but it's a worth a shot.

I got a call from this number and it told me I had credit card debt. I replied that my mother was in the shower. The man on the line asked if he could join her. Shocked, I said, "Excuse me???" He replied, "Can I take a bath with your mother?" What a creep. They have called my house several times, and I am very unhappy.

Said he was calling about credit card debt. Did not identify the company. I asked him how he could be calling me since I am do-not-call registered.  He went into his credit card spiel again when I said he should not be calling me.  He told me to "shut up" then terminated the call.

Same as others report when calling back:  disconnected message.

I just had a call a few minutes ago from this number. The person gave me a Indian sounding name - very pleasant and said that he was calling from a major american financial company. When I asked him what his business was and why he was calling as I was on the "do not call list" he got very nasty. When I threatened to report him to the FCC he said "f&*# off all you a@$*%les on the do not call list" and hung up.

same pattern as all previous posts.  Indian / asian accent.  starts polite spiel about 10K of debt, then goes onto a rampage cursing F'er, bast__d, FU, shows Floral Park, 516-488-8552, made multiple calls over course of couple days, Caller Id nothing, only floral park

This person called, Indian accent asked him several times for his name and the company he worked for.  Spoke incoherently then suddenly said our debt was over 10000.  I told him to never call again, he said he would call many times as much as he felt like doing it.  I said that in this country we have laws and he was not allowed to call me again once I asked him not to, expecially since he was calling about a service, he called me I did not call him.  He called me names, he was very, very rude.

Got a call from this number / Jan 5, 3:24pm same indian accent as this other people... He said he was calling for my Mom, I told him she was 94, and where is he calling from he said NorthStar Financial Group. Then I told him my Mom doesn't have any credit card, He immediately hangup.... I call the number and it says "not a working number" - Thank God my Mom didn't answer the phone.  This should be reported.

Caller ID showed nothing but the number it was to my cellphone and they hung up

They keep calling but never leave a message; I guess I will need to answer and give them an earful.

This number keeps calling my unlisted phone number. They never leave a message and it is quite annoying.

That particular number called tonight.  When I answered no one was there.  I am always suspicious of calls like that.

Got a call from this number and just as others have said...this guy had a foreign accent, said he was from American Financial and that I owed over $8000 in credit card debt and that I'm paying the minimum balance on time, but I'm spending a lot in interest.  When I said I didn't want to discuss this with him, he asked who I planned to discuss it with, I told him no one.  I tried to ask how he got my information and he hung up on me.

My home number was forwarded to my cell phone and the number came up as unknown. But when I checked my home caller ID that's when the 516 number showed up. I called it back and it was saying it was disconnected. HOW IS IT LEGAL FOR THESE PEOPLE TO CALL LIKE THIS WITH NO ACCURATE NUMBER TO REACH THEM? THIS SAME NUMBER CALLED ME 2 NIGHTS AGO AT 1:04AM!!!!! HOW IN THE HECK IS THAT LEGAL????????

This particular call was 'Out of Area', but has called from the above number before.  Man named Anthony Bowden (sp?) with thick indian/pakistan accent claimed to be from American Financial Board and wanted to help with my 'unsecured debt'.  Keeps calling & being rude & cursing.  Told him I was on the 'Do not call list' and to not call again.  Keeps calling though.

caller said he was from American Financial Institute regarding my debt, medical bills and a loan - I told him not call agin but they did - first call was from Anthony others were from Alex - reported them to the FTC and BBB

I have been getting calls from this number for the last month or so. Usually, I ignore it but have answered it a few times. It is always the same heavily accented man claiming to be with American Financial. He says that I have more than $10K in debt and am paying too much interest. When I asked how he got my information, he claimed to have my credit report. When I asked him to verify which credit cards I had & their balances, he hung up on me. I have told him three times that I am not interested, I'm on the DoNotCall list and not to call me anymore. Yet, with increasing frequency, the calls continue.

This morning, this jerk took things to a whole new level. I let him run through his little routine a little then asked him what business American Financial was in. He replied, 'Debt Management'. I told him, again, that I was not interested and that I had told him this three times before. He started to say that I had to say something but I cut him off and told him that I AM saying to NEVER CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN! He called me a b***h!! My husband got on the phone and started yelling at him for calling me that, told him to stop calling and hung up on him. The man called right back and asked my husband if he was a ni**er!!! We couldn't believe it! They argued a little more and my husband hung up on him again. He called right back again!! This time we let it roll to voice mail and filed a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General.

I'm pretty sure this jack*** will continue to call here. I'm also pretty sure that there's not a freakin' thing we can do about it as he is, most likely, not calling from Floral Park, NY. It seems to me that he called me from an 818 area code number on at least one occasion...

I hope somebody tracks this a**hole down and beats him with his phone!!

Does anyone know, exactly, what this joker is after? His sales pitch is so goofy and shady that no one could possibly take him seriously!!

Some Indian guy called from this number.  Said I owed over 10,000 in credit cards.  I said, If I did it wouldn't be any of his business.  He said I got myself in trouble and its his business.  I said absolutely not!  And I don't have any credit cards... I over heard in the background for him to hang up and he did!  Scammer indeed.

I've gotten several calls from these people and even though I've told them to take me off the list, they continue to call.  If anyone knows how to block them I'd appreciate it.

These SCUM keep calling and also have gotten around the DoNotCall Registry........any ideas??

They either don't say anything & just hang up or once a mans name asked for me & When I ask who's calling they hung up.

Third call-first time used the polite I'm on do not call and he hung up.  He called later that night saying I had had a sexy voice and wanted to f- me.  Called again today saying he was with nationwide (which I called them and assured me he was NOT) and I again stated I was on do not call and he told me I was talking BS and out of my a- and hung up.  Always starts with the 10,000+ credit card debt, knows my name, but can not verify any of my other information.  Alerted nationwide of the scam and they were very apologetic although not their fault.

This number called me all week and I finally spoke with them yesterday.  They called 15 times in 4 days.  based on the current posts and information the address that was given, was under a Andre Dyson and Stacy Cherry.  when he called and asked if my wife was available I said no and he questioned me as if I was lying.  I then asked him if this was Andre Dyson, and he hung up.  Be very careful with these people and ask for Andre or Stacy.

This Indian sounding guy called me this morning, wanting to talk to my husband.  He said he was from American Financial.  I said, "What is that"  he had the nerve to ask me why I want to know who is calling.  I got irritated and said, "because I am his spouse and you can talk to me"

He hung up on me.  Then about 20 minutes later, the same number called again.

I am on the Do not call list as well, I don't know how these scammers get my number.  But if they call back, I will hang up on this person.
