these a holes have been calling 4-5 times a day for 3 weeks. i never see the call coming in and everytime i call back their office is "closed" imma open a can of whoop @$$ on them if i ever figure out who they are. call is coming in from charlotte, mi.

Same issue.   A woman with heavy accent called.  Mentioned my car.  But then sounded as if she couldn't hear me.  She kept saying, "Hello..I'm sorry" repeatedly.   Then a man jumped on phone and kept saying "hello, hello."..  Then they hung up.  I believe it is because I accessed Credit Karma yesterday.

This number keeps calling.  I have never answered it since I didn't recognize it.

Thank you to all the people who posted about this phone number!! I got a call from this number on 29 March.  Was expecting another call from 517 area code so I answered.  Only stayed on long enough to hear "stand by" and someone say "hello" in an accented voice, then I hung up.  Sure is was the same scam everyone else here is getting.

Multiple calls over the last 2 weeks (Mid-March thru 3/26/14).  Same as everyone else listed.  I answer....then weird breathing or voice.  Charlotte, Mich. listing but Pacific Time on the answering machine.  I have got many calls about my Kia warranty but never from this number.

Received a call from 517-588-6196 on March 24, 2014.  I wasn't able to answer, but they left no message.  It's not a number that I recognize, and base on the previous comment, I'm going to block this number as well.

I answered, a woman who was hard to understad asked for my girl friend by name. G friend said they wanted to talk about warranty on my 09 dodge. She told caller to place us on do not call list. Received 3 more calls within 24 hours

Same kind of call from above # and fast talking foreign guy. Could barely hear him or understand him. I told him car needed work and he kept wanting to sell me extended coverage and said my van was worth so much right now that I should get the ins before something happened or broke on my van. Odd thing is that I spoke with them from 866 887 8252 this afternoon but tonight they called me again from above 517 # but no message left. Blocking both #s.

Sorry- just wanted to add that I'm pretty sure they just bought sales records. When I had mentioned that they didn't sound legit, the 'manager' got aggressive and said he had my VIN as if that's so super hard to get ahold of. I doubt it has anything to do with recent service to any of our cars and they just bought a list of people who bought a car in the state of Michigan a few years ago and the standard warranty is up.

I received a call yesterday from this number with a heavily accented voice asking for my name, referencing a Ford Fiesta I had purchased and wanting to know my mileage. As I have a pretty good sense of humor, I played along. As soon as I said I still have the car and gave him a rough mileage, he connected me to his manager. Manager gets on the phone and immediately has clear English. He asked if I knew my standard warranty was up and told me I could renew it for five years, 100,000 miles, same as my original warranty but because I had said nothing was wrong with my car the deal was only good for right now and I couldn't call him back to confirm the sale. I managed to get pricing out of them- $3600 for "a five year warranty" and then asked what his company name was. He said Interstate Warranty company and as I was at my computer, I started trying to find anything to use on him. I told him there was no way a legitimate business would sell a warranty and not provide any information to the customer or allow them to think about the offer then I said, "This sure sounds like a scam." and then almost immediately he says goodbye and hangs up. For a deal that was 'this call only', I just managed to get a second call from an equally accented woman from the same number just now. I'm blocking the number now, hopefully this information can help someone else!

Caller had heavy accent and when I asked who was calling he interrupted and asked if he could finish.  I said no and he hung up on me.

Agree with the above responses. Got a call from this number and it was also heavily accented and very noisy in the background. Maybe to make it sound like a car dealership. The caller asked for the mileage on my car for warranty information. I just hung up. He sounded very demanding so not sure how he would have acted had it kept him on the line. Said he was calling from the Vehicle Processing Department.

I got this call two days after taking my car to the local dealership for repair. I already knew my full coverage warranty was up and that my powertrain was still in effect.

This is deffinitly a scam to get you to buy some sort of extended waranty coverage on your car.

2/26/2014 5:45pm EDT - Received call from 517.588.6196 (Charlotte, MI). Did not answer - as I do not answer ANY number I am not completely familiar with - NO message left - BLOCKED!

This number called me didn't say who it was left a recorded message I called back the office was closed at 4 pm pacific time but they called 10 minutes ago so I don't understand.  

Received a call from this number today (on my cell), didn't answer, no voicemail left. Will block it.

This # keeps calling me from 2/20 til tonight including a Saturday and I never answer, and they don't leave a message. I blocked em.

I received two calls from this number as it is local to me. I called it back and it doesn't give a business name only that they are pacific time and this number is eastern time area code. Weird!

2/19/2014 - thru 2/24/2014 Keep getting repeated calls from this number and I have no idea who it is - and I'm not answering it.  I added it to my reject list.  

Received call on 2/20/2014 from this number and answered. There was silence for a few seconds, then a heavily accented male voice asking for a name I couldn't understand. I asked the caller to repeat the name, and he pronounced my name correctly. I said "Yes, this is Sean. How can I help you?" and the caller hung up. I received a call from this same number the next day, and the caller hung up after one ring before I could answer it. I added it to my blacklist on the off-chance that it's part of the "one ring hang up" scam.
