I do work for this company and have for many years. I promise this company is legit. If you are receiving calls it's due to your Assocation with one of our clients. For the record if you have a business relationship with a company the DNC does not apply till you tell the company your wishes. Also most of these callers are on an automated dialer, so these dead air callls,recordings and hangups come from the system rather then the rep. Also you may come across an non american caller this is because we are a world wide employer with offices in India but we are based out of New York. Best thing to do is answer. We follow all FCC and BBB guidelines so there is nothing to turn in,just doing our job to keep food on the table and it pays VERY well FYI.

They called me 2-3 times a day.  I now have a compressed air horn, like you hear at football games.  The last 2 times they called I calmly answered "Hello?" and when they began to speak I cut loose with the horn in the mouthpiece.  They have  yet to call back.

We are calling for bussiness purposes, and if we do not get what we're looking for the fist time we call we ALWAYS call back. So the man with the horn .. don't be so proud of yourself, we DEFINATLEY put you in as a call back if that is truly what happened. It could just take a couple weeks before we actually get to the call back list you have been put on. A stupid horn will not prevent us from doing our work, nor will we allow it to affect the prgress we we have made for each of our clients! So if anyone else has ANY "brilliant" (by brilliant I mean IMMATURE!) idea's to get us to stop calling .. go ahead and try it. We'll call back  (:

Someone from this number has called us several times this week. When we answer, no one speaks so we jus hang up.

i have been receiving calls from these people two to three times a day do not know them so i dont answer just wish they would just stop calling thank you for having this info on them

We have Called Id, set up so we can see on our TV...I was on the laptop..first looked up the area code, then my husband said look up the name...and found this! Amazing!

I'm getting the same calls several times a day. I'm also on the do not call list. I wish someone could make this stop!

It probably doesn't help, but if enough people would report them to the Attorney General, FBI, Better business bureau and any other place to complain, it may help.  I have filed with all these places.  Probably didn't help, but made me feel better.

they call everyday at least twice..... i answered once and then hung up on them. theyre starting to irritate me

I'm on the do not call list, so how do they ge my number? I wish they would leave me alone. These calls are pain in the neck. Something needs to be done to have these calls stopped.

I guess I am on the Colwell and Sal List. Many calls a day and I finally looked in this site and found this list.

Yep!, getting the same calls......wonder if that "REALLY" was a do not call list we all called, as I did it also.........Im really good at ignoring people though...... ask my wife!lol

This number calls many times a day, every day!  Am on the Do Not Call List.No message - if I don't recognize a number, I don't answser.  Sick of them!

I do not know who these people are they need to stop calling I am going to report them to the attorney general.

I have been getting calls from this number 518-482-1596 for over a month.  Two or three times a day, early morning and late night.  I am so glad that I checked it out on here before I answered it.  I will not be answering this call, ever!  There must be something we can do about this.  The "Do Not Call" list obviously isn't working.

I have been receiving these calls for about a month also.  No one is there when I answer, so I quit answering.  When I found this site with all of you having the same problem I decided to try calling them again.  (I had tried before with no answer).  This time a young woman answered and said that they are a marketing research call center and would put my # on their Do Not Call List.  I told her that my # is already on the national list and that they are already breaking the law, so if I get one more call after our conversation I will report them.  She said "Well, it takes time to get you on the list", I said "You've had plenty of time, and I won't except any excuses".  So we will see.  Hopefully the rest of you will read this and call them and complain.

WE have received calls from 518-482-1596 for several weeks now, but have never answered one of the calls.  Today, I had had enough and filed a complaint with the "So Not Call" website.  It's enough to drive a sane person crazy!

I see I made some errors in my last comment.  I filed with the "Do Not Call" website.  And the phone number we have been receiving calls from is: 518-482-1596.  Should have "proof read" my last post.

These people call 3-4 times a day, never leaving a message. I've started just answering and putting the phone next to the TV.

I'm on the do not call list and yet they call. All the time.

This number, 518-482-1596, calls me every single day and night.  This has been going on for days now!  I call them back, get a message, and press "0" to leave them a message, telling them to stop calling.  But, the calls continue. This is HARRASSMENT!   So much for being on the Nationa Do Not Call Registry List!   If you call their number, a recording will give you the name of the company.  They are from NY.  Figures..........

CALL THE NUMBER BACK...IT RINGS INTO A SWITCHBOARD...ASK FOR DIANE...SHE'S IN CHARGE...LEAVE HER A TON OF VOICE MAILS UNTIL YOU FINALLY GET ON THEIR DO NOT CALL LIST...FLOOD HER VOICE MAIL IF YOU HAVE TO IN ORDER TO GET THE MESSAGE ACROSS...

This number is owned by Colwell & Salmon Communications, which does research calls, and calls for GMAC. Their phone number is 800-724-5318, which is answered by a real person. Tell them you'd like to complain about the calls coming to you and ask to be filtered out of their databases.

The person I talked to said I would be removed from their list, and should receive no more calls from this number. I'm hoping that this is true.

Have been getting calls  from this number and from their sister number 518-694-5470;went online and saw they also have third phone no.518-492-1596!!! They call me randomly, never leave a message, have picked up, nobody there. My hubbie picked up and told them our phone is a lifeline number, do not call unless emergency--still getting calls!!! Colwell & Sal can go to u no where! for bugging people for no reason.
