said he is an attorney from the Legal Affidavit Office calling about some money i supposedly owe from a payday; he left a voicemail message with this phone number and said that I could have my attorney give him a call.

I got a call today, too.  How do you make them stop?  I had talked to someone in the state AG's office a couple of years ago about someone who was harassing me like this.  I told the guy I talked to today that I had been told to contact the FBI, IRS, every law enforcement agency I could think of and they still called back earlier tonight.  What can we do?

I just got a call from this number demanding that I find a lawyer and that they were not a collection agency and that I needed to pay a payday loan. They were vey unprofessional I looked up this number and it is a landline. They refused to send me any documents in regards to my debt or tell me how much I owe. It sounds like a scam to me!!!!
I am going to send a cease and desist order and I am going to put in a complaint to the Attorney general on my state where I live. And I am also going to call the Federal trade commision and file a complaint. I suggest that you do the same if you get a call like this.
These unprofessional people are just people who can't hold a real job so they like to harrass people.

I received a call from this number Friday(payday) demanding money for a payday loan that I never took out. Funny they should call on a payday and seek out money. I told them to mail me what I owe, they refused and said that they were downloading a affidavit now and that I will be arrested. I told them that I would file a complaint with the attorney general and a cease and desist order went out. This will show those crooks.

I have been called several times by these people.  The name that was left once was Neil Johnson at Tony Fox Law Firm, but he sure has a heavy accent to be American.  I told this guy yesterday that I was going to contact the State AG's office but he didn't seem to care.  This has been going on off and on for a couple of years now.  I'm ready to change my phone number.

calls my office and I do not owe anything. I tell them i can prove it too, because i keep all my paperwork of past debts. They cannot fax me anything or prove i owe it. Its gonna get worse.

Calling business asking for employee.  We only allow emergency calls to employees because they are production.  Explained to caller.  He had thick accent.  Told him after 2 or 3 calls to never call back.  He called back about 12 times.  Told him I was contacting our lawyer and he wasn't afraid.  HR Mgr. told him we were contacting police and calls did stop.

He initially gave me a phone number of 561-200-3268 and said he was Jack Dawson with Morgan & Assoc.  I called the number while he was on the other line with my HR Manager and reached an Adam who said he was the manager of a Legal Affidavit Firm.  I told him to have Jack Dawson stop calling us.

I am getting the same phone calls...threatening arrests for a payday loan in 2006 of which I know nothing about.  This has been going on for over a year now.  They cannot provide any proof of anything and they will not let me speak to anyone else.  Also, they have American names but extremely thick accents.  They are not legitimate and it is a scam.
