Geoffrey is pushy. Sent him a bill of sale he said his wife contacted the shipper and will sign bill of sale with all of there personal information. I said I need a name and number of the shipper. He gave me the name America Universal Freighter, which is no where to be found and told me he doesn't have their cell number. But he had just set up shipping and his wife just informed them of the bill of sale. Told him I want to see a copy of the receipt that he has prepaid the shipper that I will not western union a single dollar to any body. And Looks like Geoffrey is on to the next one.

Same number and exact same story responding to my craigslist ad placed last night.
Decided to google the number and found you guys.

Geoffrey just texted wanting to buy items I had posted, asking the same bs questions. All I said was "any concerns, you have to look for yourself. IN PERSON EVERYTHING otherwise I'll just assume you're a scammer". Pretty sure he moved on. Please tell anyone you know who's wanting to post on cl be aware of these guys.

Geoffrey also wanted to buy a item from me that we had posted on Craigslist, he said he has hearing problems so prefers to do all communication via email or text.  He also said that due to the nature of his job he was unable to come view the item but still wanted to buy it.  Geoffrey asked for our paypal email address so he could deposit the money, and then told us that the item would be shipped to "international HQ" and he would deposit extra money into our paypal account so we could wire the money to the shipping company.  RED FLAG - told his we will NOT wire money to anyone!!!  He then sent a bunch of fake paypal emails to us saying he deposited the money that included instructions on where to wire the money too.  This guy must think we are all stupid.

Bunch of SCAMMER. Don't know when to stop calling and texting. They say "I am at sea. So I will send PayPal account #." Bogus and don't have life. Just stop and get a job.

Same with me Geoffrey offered to buy a car using paypal but for security reason he said I had to western union $700 to the transport company I google the transport company the address came back to a Bank of America in California he said this was pay pals rules so I told him I can deliver car personally and he can pay me cash got no response

Scammers are on the move today. Louis just sent me a text with the same message above. These idiots are wasting my time and messing up honest people just trying to move on. I wish someone could catch these jack wagons.

I got a call just short of mid ire from a  LOUIS. .  Didn't say who he worked for, just asked if I still had the trailer for sale (I just put it in Craig's list this morning, just in the local area) he had my town in Az. and my ph no....and was satisfied with my price, ...he is texting me again from Florida right now, saying that due to his job and current location may not be able to come for theinspection and pay in person. They said that they are new to buying STUFFS online, so his method of payment would be through the fastest and secure way to pay.....havent heard anymore back yet.  I thought that I would text back saying that his friends MARK, SMITH and LOUIS just bought the item...maybe he will get the hint that I am on to the SCAM...ha, ha.   Thx guys for tipping me of this this character, sincerely   joe. It just comes with the territory when I have something advertised on line, for sale.Have a little fun! Give them a bogus Pay-Pal acct. # and you will have someone call you from either Pay-Pal or E-Bay and say that the buyer requires you help pay for shipping (all B.S.) but string 'em along and tell them that you will wire the money ASAP. After, tell them that you "Chose" to send a Money Gram, not the cash wire. There are no tracking services for M.G. and it will have them running backand forth to the Western Union office. Usually give up after 2 or 3 trips.N-JOY.

I have gotten this TEXT messages from this number, and thought to look it up, as I have gotten others similar TEXTs from these numbers as well, 251-387-2485, 646-389-8624. Thank you all here for sharing, as I feel compelled to the same.
These individuals have used the name Mark Smith, and Louis

He is asking,
"Do you still have the item as listed, and is it available for sale?" and, "What's the present condition?", "What price are you willing to sell it to me?", "Do you have a verified payPal account?" and, "Please get back to me ASAP Thanks." and, "I will not be coming to view it because of my job, I am a drilling engineer at (Penn Virginia Corporation) in West Virginia, "I am too busy working long hours, and I am satified with your firm/advert price."

This person, has in his words, "My pick-up agent will pick-up the item & bill of sale at your location."
I replied they can pay at time of pick-up.

I chose not to waste my time any further with these types of TEXTs.
