This number is a scam! They advertise a U.S. Postal job from the agency The Sky Shout Agency <hr@skyshout.com>. The ad is in Craigslist. Then they email you with the following line:  There are new openings available for you with the Postal Service, to pre-qualify call 561-615-3012 ext 988 to speak with our pre-hire department, we are looking for people that are hard working and looking for employment NOW! Now is the perfect time to persue a career with the Postal Service. Again please call 561-615-3012 ext. 988 (M-F 9AM - 10PM EST)Jeffrey Neuman, Senior Recruiter, Federal  Division

I have called several times and am put on hold immediately, then they play soothing relaxing music that is almost hypnotic with the soft piano, etc. until you realize no one is ooming on the line. After the second time, I felt suspicious something 'was up' and I put this number in the Google section and then I knew. I don't know what kind of bill is going to appear on my phone bill, I just hope it is not too much!

This so-called "Sky Scout Agency" makes me sick. It's people like these that are just total predators and take advantage of others that are vulnurable. Talking about getting kicked while you are down!

It's hard enough looking for a job in this economy. It never occurred to me that slimy, disgusting snakes like this would crawl out from under their rocks and holes to take advantage of people.

Scumbags.

BEWARE FOLKS, THIS IS ANOTHER VERSION OF WHAT I RECEIVED TALKING ABOUT CREDIT BACKGROUND CHECKS!

"Please be aware that one of the steps in getting hired for most
employers requires a background and credit check. While you might
think you have great credit, the economic turmoil over the last
several months has resulted in significant changes to the credit
ratings of many individuals.

We are recommending that everyone seeking employment check their
credit report ASAP!

Through a very special promotion with EXPERIAN, you can get a FREE 3
in 1 credit report and take care of any wrong information contained in
your report as quickly as possible. I can't tell you how many people
we couldn't place because of errors on their report!
http://www.skyshout.com/report

We will only present quality candidates to the employer, if you
checked your credit,  please let me know ASAP! Feel free to use
whatever credit checking tools you want, we only present the above
link to you because we think it offers the best results and the price
is great!

Like everyone else I am being harrassed by this Shannon White and Skyfraud. Allow me to suggest something, should we call Quickbooks direct and find out who or why skyshout is selling their product hard? Also has anyone attempted to click on the link at the end of every email stating

"If you have found employment or no longer with to be considered for
future positions with our agency, please click:"
And does it work?
Thank you all and I am sorry we have to share this world with real a***oles like scammers.

Ya I saw the same thing a while back from these Clowns, and I called a Special Agent with the Postal Inspectors and they said it is definitely a scam. They took the information and within hours it disappeared off of Craigslist. Obviously they don't take the sign when a Federal Agent tells you to stop doing what you are doing.....

I got the same email from Sky Shout about learning QuickBooks. I emailed them that I know QuickBooks already. They emailed me back and said they were still working on the job but in the mean time I could start working for Google from home. I emailed them saying I was looking for a job that pays me not a company I have to pay to work for. I have not heard back.

I reported them to Craigslist. They are harvesting information to sell. I use a different email address for each website I find jobs on. After emailing Sky Shout about the Craigslist job my junk email on that account has tripled.

I knew it was a scam the second I saw their website.

This company is disgusting. There are a lot of people out of work right now and they need real opportunities not scams.

Yes I recieved the very same offer from Shannon White for an office manager position in which I needed to know Quickbooks. I already know quickbooks so I E-mailed her back and asked if her agency charges a fee for placement. With everyone getting laid off and trying to find a job it is too bad that there are people who take advantage of them, what a SCAM!

I too just received a reply from a Craig's List ad for an Office Manager from a Shannon White, Sr. Recruiter.  She said the jhob required QuickBooks and if I could learn it quickly she could get me placed within 2 weeks.  Sounds a little 2G2BT.  There was an offer to pay $6.95 for QB training with a $10 refund sent back.  So, of course I replied back to ask where the job location was.  The pay seemed high to me, but hey, we can hope, right?  Anyway, I emailed back that I had QB experience and then did a Google search for the agency and found all this stuff!  Glad I did before I fell for any of their scam techniques.  These people need to seriously be caught.

WOW--THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR POSTING THESE MESSAGES!!
Just like all of you, I replied to an admin position on Craigslist also received the return email to learn QuickBooks link asking for personal information.
I am so glad I did a Google Search on Sky Shout. If you try to go to their website, all you will see is their logo...you cannot look at anything else.
Definite SCAM!
Good luck to all on the job search!!

OMG...I just responded to the email for the Office Manager position and asked Shannon to inform me as to how to proceed...this is very discouraging, I have been looking for another job since September!!!!! It is sad that ppl are taking advantage of our eagerness and desire to have steady employment that pays the bills and clothes the kids!!!

I too was notified by the Sky Shout Agency regarding an Office Manager position.  My response to them was this:
After doing some research, I have deemed it necessary to report you to Craigslist and the Oregon Department of Employment for fraudulent activity.  Ms. White, I must ask you - Do you know what it's like to be a single mother of 2 trying to find a job to support a family?  My assumption is no as this is a despicable act of deception coming from a group with no moral or ethical values.  I can't imagine how someone like yourself can sleep at night.

2 Other "companies" to be concerned about are Wave Length Telecom / MKL Communications (Jason Miller) and LVM (Kelly Preston).  These companies are one in the same going by any of these three names.  All of which offer employment with excellent salaries, all of which will ask you if you are interested in continued education in which you are sent to what looks like a circus show of colleges/online training.  Much like Sky Shout, no company information (ie addresses, phone numbers) exist.
Best of luck to all of you out there searching for employment, my prayers are with you all!

Wow...the same thing just happened to me. I'm going to report this to craigslist. How can they do such things? People are honestly looking for employment out here. I was offered an Office Manager position after applying for an Office Assistant job. She (Shannon White) said the same thing. If you are able to learn Quickbooks fast. LOL!!!
This is something else. Thank you for posting this information everybody.

I didn't get the email about quickbooks, they just asked me to post my info on a bunch of jobseeker websites. So I did that and at the end of my posting all my info it asked me for anywhere from $39.99 to $199.99 to make my resume "searchable". Ugh!!! I'm going to find that posting on Craigslist and flag it for removal, then hopefully the people that run Craigslist will get a clue and no longer allow that company to post ads for jobs.
Good luck job hunting everyone! I know we all could use some given the financial situation of our country.

I received the same emails also about the Office Manager and Quickbook training.  I told them I already had quickbook manuals, however I was still interested in the position.  After sending the email something just did not feel right and I googled their agency.  And I came across this webpage.

Thank you guys. Thank you Google!! What a scam!!!!!

Sheri,

Good points. The same thing happened to me, BTW. I applied for a few jobs off of CL and got an email from Skyshout, but it was to a different address than the one I use for resumes. I'm NOT replying to any of the two emails I got from Skyshout, whoever they are.

My other hunch is that Skyshout is scamming through Monster.com, where I have a resume posted. I'm taking it off of there ASAP.

I won't be responding to any blind ads off CL, the company name must be mentioned. This economy is ripe for scammers and I don't want to be a "scamee." I may post a Rant on CL to warn others of this....

Good post, thanks and good luck to you!
