Just reported the number to Nomorobo as it's one that slipped past them.  Spoofing one's phone number is illegal if being done for fraudulent purposes, but these folks don't care about the law.

We are wasting out time posting on this forum!!!!!!!! Nothing will happen just like listing your number on the Do-Not-Call list, N-O-T-H-I-N-G happens!!!  Who knows what their real number is as they are usually calling from a fake (SPOOF) number....  I get calls all the time from new numbers as the old ones I block on my phone. they tried to verify employment of someone.  We only do this via fax on official letterhead as there are a lot of scammers these days and the phone doesn't give you much of a way to verify if these people are who they say they are.  I am sure they know about debts, try and collect and that money likely goes to there company and not whoever their is a debt with, a lot of places with call centers doing this, normally someone from India calls.

@Star Patterson I suggest a cordless phone and caller ID so you don't have to answer and be harassed if these people or anyone like them call.  If you have AT&T U-verse in your area phone and cable work togethewr to pop up caller ID on the TV, which may help avoid these calls.  Also having an answering machine and letting calls go there.  It is likely that you need to call people more than you need to hear from people.  Most calls these days are unwanted calls.  Check in with those that are important at a regular time and ignore the rest.  Good luck!

RECEIVED CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER SEVERAL TIMES.  NO ONE IS ON LINE.  WHEN DIAL BACK A VOICE MAIL MSG STATED THAT THE NUMBER IS NOT ACCEPTING CALLS AT THIS TIME.

They called three times and were rude and breathing on the phone.  Reported them to the Do Not Call registry online.  Recommendation:  Each time they call you, go to the following site to report them.  Hope this helps.

Was on my cell when my home phone rang, it said Mitchell Alan didn't recognize the name so I didn't pick it up. He didn't leave a message.

My CID said MITCHELL ALAN. Left no message. I never answer calls that don't show full CID info.

The caller ID displayed MITCHELL ALAN for 561-866-0693 and was a recording about VA home mortgages.  I pressed "1" so I could talk to someone and the lady said VA HELP DESK blah, blah, blah.  When I asked why Alan Mitchell was displayed on the caller ID she mumbled something and humg up.  The recording was the same as from many, many other call numbers identifying themselves as VA HELP DESK or VA SOLUTIONS.  Just about anything you say to them they hang up, just to call again, and again, and again...  Really gets irritating and each time I file a complaint.  Can't find any info on either company or for the numbers they use.

8/6/10 at 4:11pm Eastern time.  Received an unsolicited call to my cell phone from this number.  It was a pre-recorded message for a topic (mortgage payment problems) that does not apply to me.  The call violates several telemarketer practices. (and possibly laws.)

Used to get these calls on my home phone. Still do occaisionally. Now they call my cell.
Few people have my no-contract cell number, and the only numbers I recently added to my list and gave my number to are a surgeon and a hospital due to injuries to my elderly mother. This is my emergency only phone and I jump everytime it rings. Now these scammers have the number!

The do not contact law only works with LEGAL tellamarketers.
So, after I get the first call from a particular number, I ask to be added to their do not call list, and then I never answer a call from that number again. Doesn't keep me from jumping when the phone rings, but it appears to be the only remedy for the scammers.

these people call at least once a week;  i refuse to answer the call.  they are a telemarketing scam out of boca raton florida, but that's only the number, they actually are an indian call centre harassing hardworking people who work for their families to put food on the table.  i have far better things to do with my time than answer these types of calls.  whatever happened to the donotcall.gov list?  this obviously doesn't work and im sick of these people calling me.

This number is a solicitation call searching for people who may possibly owe back taxes. The message they leave ask you to press One if you wish to speak to a company rep. If you DO press One then you have given them the right to call you over and over again. If you don't press one then it will keep calling you anyway; usually 3-4 times daily. I am also on the NO CALL List both with the state of Missouri and the Federal Government. I will be contacting them regarding this issue today.

I've been getting calls from these jerks for the past two weeks. I'm pissed! Does anyone know how these people are getting our numbers. They called with a pre-recorded Tax Solution Service Message, I don't owe federal taxes! How the hell did they get my info, I'm worried that they have more info then just my number!

This is a total scam, they change their name and number periodically because what they are doing is not a legitimate business. I have gotten through to "reps" and when I ask them to remove me, they hang up on me....what real consumer driven business would do that??? As this point I mess around with them and at least get some enjoyment out of being annoyed on a regular basis.

Called it back, says not accepting calls at this time. Cell phone number out of florida. Claims to be a debt reduction company.
