Got the same text message- a loan scam, "loanmod-gov.org" (non-existent web site.)Text came to the child's prepaid cell phone, also on the do not call list. So is there any way to stop these creeps from eating up our minutes?

Got a text message from this number at 2:30 am Friday morning. www.modifymortgag.us --- that's how they spelled mortgage. I tried this address on the internet browser and did not exist (tried it adding an "e" to "mortgag" it didn't work either. I never signed up for any mortgage adjustment service or nothing. My cell phone is on the "Do Not Call" list. How is this possible? And why? Using my text message limits. It is getting out of control. Lately - in the past month or so I started to get text messages from unknown phone numbers and such.
How come? and Why? This is solicitation at it's worse. What can we do to stop these people having access to peoples' cell phone numbers? It's costing us money and time and frustration.
