Long Beach Public Library calling to remind me of an overdue book that had not been returned.  Thankfully I saw the missed call.  I forgot all about the book!

I believe it was Long Beach Public Library reminding me that I have an overdue book and to return it.   I missed the call, but know that most 570 #'s belong to the city of long beach.  I just logged into my library account and had forgotten that I checked out a book!

Today 08/10/2012 I received a second call from this number, previously received last  08/08/2012. James Perry left a message in regards a call to 911 last january 8th. It looks like they are investigating that emergency call ( From my present PCS number) is link to something else!, I got this PCS new service since june 21,  also some people some times are calling my phone number looking for the "past same number's owner" I don't remember His name, probably whom called me today is looking for that particular person. Any how I will call back to the phone number that James Perry Ieft in my voice mail that is different that the one I have in my Caller ID. But I will not make public His desk phone number. I will try to contact him tomorrow(Saturday) or next bussiness day may I let You know whats going on after I talked to James!

I received a call from this number it was Long Beach Police looking into possible fraud.  My 800 number appeared on an investigation list. Its is legit.

It's the LONG BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY.

They called me to notify me that my requested book is ready for pick up.

The number also has an option to connect to Long Beach Utility.

A recorded voice saying about me owing something. Very suspicious and seems like a scam. Be real careful with tricksters like this one.

I have never lived or conducted business in California, so I'm not sure why I got a call from this number if it really is a legitimate City of Long Beach Utilities number.

Possible City of Long Beach, Waste Management Services.

Pre-recorded message when you call back saying to look up your city departments phone numbers in the phonebook.

If you've placed books on hold at the libraries in Long Beach that might be them contacting you about it.

Received a call this morning from this number, no vm message. Called back and it was a recording for the City of Long Beach. The message gave out numbers for various departments within the city (ie, waste, police info, etc.)

I suspect they may be testing the emergency call-out system implemented by the city and had a pre-recorded benign message in place, so no one would panic in case they called back.

This telephone number is an "out call" only, phone system number, that is used by the various City of Long Beach, CA, Government Agencies and it is used by the Long Beach Police Department to disguise their identity for city business when dealing with the public at large.

This is an automated service used by the Long Beach Public Library system.

This is not a scam or anything bad. :)
