i got the same call said he was from haper and smith law offices what an idiot i told him if i owe you money send me a certified letter showing proof . he said i sent you an email. I told him does he know the collection procedures in the USA or is he following the Indian collection procedures and i hung up on him. When are they going to do something out these people i have reported it to the Federal Trade Commission 3 times already and they still call. I am moving in November and changing all my numbers. I hate these people!!!

I have received dozens of phone calls from this number, and others. Each time, someone with an Indian dialect screams and threatens to arrest someone named "Christina"... I have tried explaining that I have no idea who Christina is. I have never in my LIFE applied for a loan or pay day advance. Last week I received 14 phone calls on my cell phone within 20 minutes, all while I was trying to work. Several times, I've received calls after midnight.

I have received dozens of phone calls from this number, and others. This morning, the caller identified himself as "Mike" and left a threatening voicemail intended for a woman by a name which I do not recognize.

This voicemail is similar to ALL of the others I've received. Each time, a caller speaking in an Indian dialect asks for the same woman (NOT ME!) and insists that if "my" attorney does not contact them immediately, they have no choice but to "pray for" me!?

Last week I received 14 phone calls within 20 minutes. Several times, I've received after midnight.

I got a phone call from these "Harper and Smith law Associates" Regarding my husband, they are saying he took out a loan from American Pay Day loan company in which fact he did not. They say he owes all this money and that they are going to take legal action against him I then requested the number to this "pay day loan place" which they gave me when I called the man answered and started to say "Harper and".... and then said "American Pay Day Loan" I let him know he sounded just like the gentlemen that I had just spoken with and he started yelling at me. I am pretty sure this is all a scam tried to google the law firm, can't find it. I guess I need to contact Social Security Administration which I am waiting on a phone call from and local authorities..any advice on this situation? What should I do they are all a bunch of Indians and they are all saying they will press charges against my husband...I am ready to flip a lid if someone is f*cking with us....WHAT DO I DO?

About a a month ago these people called me over and over again.  I asked to speak to someone who spoke English so I could understand them.  The same person came back on the phone trying to disguise his voice but with the same accent.  They threatened me with a legal action the next day if i didnt pay them 300.00 immediately.  I asked for a copy of the paperwork and again someone who could speak English.  They hung up the phone and I had not heard anything else from them until last night. If they call back Im going to tell them that the police have located their address and are on the way to arrest them.   lol  I figure turn about is fair play.

Fake payday loan company!!!  They are purchasing a list of names where people have outstanding payday loans, bad credit through telecheck or some other company.  Do not send them any money.  I saw this on the news and I'm not sure how they are getting the names of people, but they are not the original creditors and the statute of limitations in most cases have passed, and in some cases you don't owe at all.  Times are hard, some people rather scam than work.  Do yourself a favor and keep the money in your pocket.  The call from all over Ohio, Florida, California, etc.

DONT BE TAKEN FOR A RIDE!!! THESE COMPANIES ARE FAKE AND MOST OF THEM HAVE OFFICES AND PO BOXES SET UP IN THE U.S. TO GET THE MONEY.  SOMEONE IN THE U.S. IS DEFINITLEY HELPING THEM TO COMMIT THIS SCAM.  NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY  ... DON'T SEND ANY MONEY!!! EVER!!!! NEVER!!!!!

This is a SCAM!!!  I have been receiving calls and emails.  My husband works for the FBI and informed me that this is a SCAM and they get your information from the Internet.  Maybe you applied for a loan or something and that's how they get your information and social security number.  They did a segment on 20/20 and Dateline and it was so sad that so many people was scammed out of thousands of dollars.  I'm so blessed that I never sent them anything.  I resorted to changing my numbers because they will harrass you day and night.  They are using a calling system and phone cards that make it appear that they are calling from the US, but in actually, when th FBI traced the calls, they were calling from Indonesia and the callers will always have foreign accents.  Please be careful, they are just pest, but I would just ignore there calls.  Unfortunately, one lady on dateline entered her work number on line when applying for a loan and they called everyone in her office and it was so embarrassing.  They gave a tip that if you apply on line, not to enter your work number, just your cell and once the loan paperwork is finalized you can provide your employment information.  Take care and don't worry, they are phantom companies.

I received the call also.  And you know it's some BS cause when you call back you get a busy signal.  The next time they call have someone who can pose or have a real lawyer standing by, and put them on the line.  I bet they'll stop calling then.

Oh and one more thing.... when they put someone else on the phone, it was really the same person that i spoke with the first time.

Called and threated me with charges being brought up against me for money laundering, check fraud and a whole list of other things i could barely understand in their thick "indian" accent.  I told them I could not understand what they were saying and i was requesting to speak to someone who spoke better English.  They put some one else ont phone that I could understand less.. When I asked them to send me a copy of the paperwork they hung up. Very scary phone call.

Just want to let you know, it's a scam! These people seem to be calling from all around the USA, but they are based in India. Don't let them scare you, you cannot be arrested for a collection account. I have received a call in the past and had them reported to the FTC. Also let your local police dept know about the threats. It seems they've scammed millions out of Americans and NBC and ABC news have done reports on this scam. If they call again, threaten them back! They will stop the calls after you confront them.

I received a call from a law firm that when googled does not exist regrading legal issues that I have that again do not exist.  I cut the call off then and there asked for their phone number and extension.

I JUST GOT A CALL FROM THESE A***OLES I CURSED THEM OUT SO BAD THAT HE THREATENED TO KILL ME I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THESE CRANK CALLS ABOUT SOMEONE IS SUING ME . THE NAME OF THE COMPANY THAT IS SUING ME I NEVER EVEN HEARD OF AND YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ANYWAY.

I RECEIVED THIS CALL TODAY AS WELL. PERSON SAID THEY WERE FROM HARPER AND SMITH LAW FIRM AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME PERSON SOUNDED INDIAN. WHEN TRYING TO GET INFO HE WOULDN'T PROVIDE WHEN ASK WHAT WAS HE COLLECTION FOR HE SAID FOR AMERICAN PAY DAY LOAN FOR A LOAN THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY DEBIT'D TO MY ACCOUNT ON 4/27/12.. NEVER TOOK OUT LOAN WITH THIS COMPANY WHEN I CALLED THE COMPANY NUMBER HE GAVE  ANOTHER INDIAN ANSWERED THE PHONE NOT REPRESENT ANY COMPANY AND STILL WOULD PROVIDE ANY INFO. WHEN I CALLED BACK TO COMPANY TO GET COURT DATE HE DIDN'T WANT TO PROVIDE AND THEN TOLD ME I WAS HARASSING HIM AND IF I CALLED BACK THREATENED TO KILL HIMSELF.. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL... REPORTING TO THE BBB FIRST THING MONDAY JUST TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO TO UNTIL THEN.

THIS PERSON CALLED SAID I LEGAL ISSUE AGAINST MY SSN AFTER TELLING THEM I FILED BANKRUPTCY AND IN A MOTION OF STAY THEY CONTINUED TO TELL ME BAD THINGS ARE TO HAPPEN TO ME. AND I HAVE GOTTEN MY DISMISSAL LETTER. THE ARE A BUNCH OF INDIA SPEAKING PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF USING FALSE INFORMATION. WHEN I ASKED FOR THEIR ADDRESS FOR MY ATTORNEY TO FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM THEY HUNG UP I CALLED THEM BACK AND SAID WHATS THE MATTER DID MY ISSUE SUDDENLY DISAPPEAR. CATCH THESE PEOPLE AND THROW THEM IN JAIL THEY ARE HARRASSING PEOPLE AT THEIR WORK PLACE WITH NO RIGHT TO. This number called my phone last night leaving a message that if I did'nt return the call I would be put in jail.  Yeah, right.  Tired of scammers.

Guy is calling my 15 year old granddaughter's phone repeatedly. When she ignores the calls he leaves messages...sounding threatening, almost yelling, telling her NOT to ignore the calls and if she does he feels sorry for her for the consequences. This has my granddaughter freaked out. He called from 567-248-4831 but left 567-248-5042 as a callback number. I called both, got a recording saying enter the telephone number starting w/the area code, just like I had not dialed a number.

They keep telling me I owe money to a payday loan place and I or my lawyer needs to call them. They say if they don't hear back all they can do is wish me good luck as the events unfold. I had my lawyer call them and they hung up on him.

I received a call from this number and when I treid to call back it would not go through. Have gotten these phone calls before and they used same script on message as before

He asked for someone named Christopher and when I told him the office was closed he started hitting on me, telling me i looked like angelina jolie and had a cute smile and he wants to take me out on a date and he'll send me a limo. I tried to be nice and professional about it so I told him I was taken and I had to go answer other calls, but he kept pursuing to the point where he asked me if we could have sex, at which point I hung up on him.

Received a call from this number on 7/20/12 @ 9:31 a.m. the person told my husband that he was charged with some type of battery, did not specify what the exact charge was or who it was against. The person who called had a heavy Indian accent and my husband had to ask him to repeat himself. My husband knew right away it was a scam and told the man to do what he had to do but not to call us again.

Received a call from Robert Thomas 7/9/12 and he said that this was a time sensitive message and if i did not return his call within the next hour I would be arrested. Today I received another call and Mr. Thomas say's if he does not hear from me within the next hour the police will be at my door. He threatned me a month ago and Im still waiting to be arrested.

Called my fiance' and told him he owed $1000 and if he didn't make a minimum balance of $200 he'd be both arrested and have him boss called. Implied that he'd both be fired and go to jail. And for the icing on the cake he has 4 hrs to decide or he WILL be arrested on the spot by local cops. The funny thing is he "put him on hold" and my fiance could hear him clearly change his voice and then pretend to be yet another person. The F@*$ed up part is he was at work on duty and they kept calling till he picked up and this crap happened.

Hope I don't find out who these a**holes are & "David Williams" aka hadjji the kid is a punk! Learn english!
