They call me to "check" upon delivery of the newspaper or to ask if I am interested in a subscription.

I don't answer 800 calls but thought I'd just say yeah, it's called here, doesn't leave a message. Bleh!

Automated message left on the answering machine...Apparently wanting to confirm our address to make sure we received this week's flyers.
The number does Google back to Brunswick News (although from what I've read, it doesn't mean that it was actually Brunswick News calling).

Received a call - Very polite - It is Brunswick News wanting me to renew my expiring subscription
Said not at this time, but to call back in the late fall. She stated that they will put a note on file. There was no rebuttle, no asking why I did not want it right away. Just very polite and friendly.

Brunswick News. They want you to try a subscription to their paper for 13 weeks and they'll throw in a couple of movie theater tickets, or whatever the gimmick of the day is. We've done it in the past and successfully canceled at the end of the 13 week term. Wouldn't do it now, as it's a waste of trees.
