They are a scam artist posing to be a collection agency , try to have this number blocked if you can.  When I answered they were making up all kinds of things regarding my so-called debts, which I have none, and when you catch on to them they hang up on you.

This number calls me constantly, most time no message, nuisance calls and driving up my go phone minutes!!!!

Good to know this is a collection call, I was not home at the time of the call.  I have been getting collection calls for the last 4yrs, from various numbers.  The person that had our number prior to us, obviously has collection agencies on their tail.  I was very polite at first, telling them I was not the person, blah, blah, bhal...but, it has become obvious the person is still using their "old" number, our "new" number, as we continually get calls, as we got a local call for them just recently.  Man, it sure gets irritating, to put it mildly.

Repeatedly left on answering machine: This call is for ____ if you are not ____ please hang up. There will be a three second pause..... By continuing to listen to this you confirm you are ___. This is an attemp to collect a debt. Please return my call @ 570-387-1873 and ask for Mary Ann. . . . When I called the number back I told her that she needed to stop calling my number as __ did not have access to this phone. He has no phone. She wanted my phone number, which I told her to look on her caller ID. She told me she had no caller id. I said again, you were calling for __. He has no access to any phones so you will need to contact him in writing from now on. She said without a number she would call me back and hung up. . . . I called back and told her if she was clearly leaving the message on an answering machine and ;last time I check an answering machine will not hang up because it is not ___. So if you continued to call my number, I would be force to charge her with Harassment. She told me that without my number she could not remove it from the system even though I gave her the name she was asking for. She was rude and didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. . . . Not sure about you. But with the name, you should be able to remove my number. And seriously with today's technology, what company doesn't have caller ID? . . . I would sure love to know how to charge these peoples I get repeated calls all day long. And it's really annoying when you have family or clients visiting. I'm force to turn the volume down as soon as I see the Caller Id, then I forget to turn it back up and miss important calls. Very Frustrating!

I recieved a call from this number, i only answered because i figured it was someone i knew being a local number. It was a guy named john n said he was from remit and demanded that i had to pay the debt that day. I was in the car and driving so i said i would send it out (just to get off the phone) a few days later i recieved a letter trying to collect the same debt saying that if i write in the next 30 days saying that i dispute the validity of the debt that they will obtain a copy of judgment, now im freaking out and dont know what to do, i dont have the money to pay them and when i asked to be put on a payment plan they wanted me to pay half which is still alot!!

I am receiving calls from this number but only every 6 months or so.
I have a full time job (and yes its a real job:) and I pay my bills when they are due. I take offense to the language that you used (kobsta) to identify the people being called by this number. I will give my phone number and name to find out what this call is for but there is never anyone on the other end. I can't find out who they are or what they want unless someone is there. I take pride in my job and that I can pay my bills. I do sympathize with these people who are receiving these calls they are annoying and inconvenient. But you who used profane and rude language you must work for this company. By telling people you are going to come and take their homes and furniture that is illegal and harrassment and you will one day find yourselves in a heap if legal troubles. Also you should tell your supervisor that  bu law you ARE required by law to identify your company by name and state what you do. You may not keep this from the customer, that is a violation. Also learn some more word to express yourself. Kobata it will get you far in life..who knows it may even get you a "real" job someday :)

Under the FDCPA, the collectors are held personally responsible for any violations of the law.  In other words, you have the right to file a complaint/claim against the company AND the caller herself.

I used to work with a girl who tiptoed on the edge of the law until someone who knew their rights filed charges against her.  She not only lost her job, she got nailed with a $1000 judgement against her.  I think that taught her a lesson...

I have gotten 3 phone calls from this number today. The caller hung up each time. The last time, the caller stayed on the line long enough for me to hear him clear his throat, then click. Irritating!

If your not Jody tell them to cease calling period, they have to comply.  Also a call at that time is illegal and should be reported.  They must work under the FDCPA regulated by the Federal Government. If you have any more problems file a complaint that will get thier attention

This person called and asked for Jena and when I said it was me the person hung up.  I tried to call back and got no answer...

deb s, i recieved a phone call from her as well. and she was nasty and rude to me. i called her out on the fdcpa and she yelled back at me. um, it specifically protects against abusive collectors. and to yell at a client, and to say nasty comments to them is against that law. AND im pretty sure the calls are recorded because its a collections agency, and she never let me know that the call was recorded. violation 2!

im a debt collector, just went through training again. learned all the laws, regulations, and everything. so i knew exactly how im supposed to get treated. you people have rights. look up the

Jimmy G has got it down pat - he is right on the money.  I will not deal with a company that calls you and puts you on hold as soon as you answer telling you to wait for them - if you don't have money no point calling them back

They call pretty often but ive never answered, i dont answer numbers i dont know. The voicemails are for some tom guy and they mention this comany others have mentioned.

This company is paid if the people called pay the supposed bill in question.  You have rights...they are not allowed to call if you write to them and tell them to cease, they are not allowed to call when you are sleeping or if you tell them not to.  They don't care if they are representing crooks who are overbilling you for money you should not have to pay... all they care about is that you pay and then they get 20 percent of your debt.  Lousy way to handle credit.

this number calls me frequently asking for "jody brant" as do many  collection agencies. no such person lives at my address and this phone number has been mine for over 17 years and i have been receiving calls for "jody" for around 6. despite my attempts to explain there is no such person at this residence they persist that she does. i have tired to be calm and professional however it doesn't work. everyone who has called for jody has been rude and have sometimes even made threats against me and my property. i had one caller threaten to come to my residence kick in my door and reposes the alleged items that were never paid for my jody. i told him to bring his gun because he will need it. that sent him packing. i wish it was that simple for all the callers. recently 5703871011 called me at 11:43PM and yelled crude and and offensive language into my answering machine. it sounded like a group of young men who were inebriated. my family heard the message and i was furious. i attempted to call 5703871011 back but received a busy signal. i do not know who this "jody brant" is and i can say for her sake that is a good thing. i have a vicious attorney and i would LOVE to press criminal charges. the only problem is would be finding "jody brant".

this remit corp has collectors that are in plan violation of the fdcpa. the fair debt collection practices act. the have nasty collectors who yell back at clients, and they make rude comments towards them while on the phone. i am a debt collector myself and know the laws. they are in plain violation!!!!!!

I keep receiving calls from this company about an unpaid hospital bill. I called the hospital directly and was told it was not processed correctly through my insurance company. It has been resubmitted. I keep getting calls from the collection agency because obviously this information is not being forwarded. The caller today, a Renee Robinson, was extremely rude when I asked for her number to call back. I was in my office with a client and could not talk so I was forced to hang up.  This is not an effective way to resolve an unpaid debt. This constitutes harrassment.

they are some type of debt collection agency... they call my cell phone a few times a week looking for my ex-boyfriend (who had debt issues). it's always been automated, so there is no way for me to tell them that i am not HIM and i have no forwarding contact info for him.  so annoying!  i don't know how the heck they got my number associated with him...   just don't answer anymore.  i'm hoping they will stop.

my advice:  never date a guy with bad credit  :)

I receive a call just about everyday. Finally i answered the call. Its a collection agency.
I tried to explain i have nothing and told trhem i have no idea about any bill or loan .
The man made fun of me and said they are coming to my house to sell my couch or what ever i had. I hung up. I`m not a well person and had an attack of not being able to breath. How can we stop such haressment .

the number 570-387-1011 calls a few times a day. No answers , never leaves a message they just hang up. There has to be a way to stop these calls.  The one time they called i slipped and hurt my ankle and for what some idiot calling me and hanging up.

I tried to call AT & T to block this number and I was told that I could "add" a feature at $4.99 per month.  I couldn't believe that I would have to pay to block this number.  Very interesting!  Just where are these phone calls coming from.  I am getting them several times a day.
