The debt collection robo-dialer does not leave a message; in fact, it rang the  phone just twice before breaking the connection.  That practice leaves a bad taste, even if the company is legit. Big IF.  Actually, any company really interested in protecting their reputation would cut that crap out as soon as they become aware that it is happening.

Ring me once like that and I make sure it doesn't happen again.  Digitone's Call Blocker is my friend.

If you were legitimate you would leave a message and tell why you called. Your just another scammer who flaunts the law and do not respect people.

I too got a call from this number but they did not leave a message.  If they are a collection agency as they have stated they really need to leave a message and say what it is about.  A "business matter" will not get people to call them back.  They need to say who they are calling in reference too.

@USCB Corporation- if anything you say is correct, and your company is legitamately concerned about its reputation, then why does your company refuse to leave a voice massage?

I got a new phone with a number that was surely someone else before me. This number has been calling me everday at least twice a day for nearly a year. Never leaving a message. NEVER.  I would think to check the Number especially  if the voicemail not the same.

my God people. You come on here to find who called you but when the company posts here you say it's a scam...Like the poster said, it's a collection agency...just answer and talk to the person and the calls will stop...if you don't answer, of course they will keep calling the number they have...I finally answered and told them the person they are looking for is my husband's ex and the calls stopped...

I hear what everyone is saying.  Just reading through the first page of posts causes me to ask the obvious.....
Instead of just posting here, why don't you log your complaints with someone that will do something about it.

Here's a couple of places that you can go to where you will get results.

http://ftc.gov/
https://www.donotcall.gov/
http://www.consumer.gov/

This is just three that I know of that are good sources to go to when you need help with issues like this.

Also, the Attorney General of your state is another powerful asset.
These Government agencies exist for this very reason.  You should use them.

Hope this helps.

I have received numerous phone calls from this company over the last week.  They have left messages or have disconnected me when I have answered the phone (they actually put you on hold when you answer and you have to wait for someone on their end to pick up.  And when they do pick up you get disconnected).  The person they are trying to contact does NOT live at my address nor does this person have my phone number.  Their phone contact information is incorrect but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend a red cent of my own money to call them back.  Would really be nice if they had/left an 800 number.

This is the information I received. Archbald is close. BTW, It's up to USCB, INC to know their business with people before they call.  So stop calling people and putting us on hold, simply because the phone number you bought was on a two year old list.

570-397-2001 is the land line number for USCB out of Jermyn, PA (Lackawanna County) from Bandwidth.com

There are two organizations besides 800notes who would be happy to deal with USCB, INC.

One is the FTC, a DBA of USA GOV.

The other is well, more ambitious than government, and not so American.

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. The DNC list is sold to legit telemarketers to scrub their own lists with and not sold to telemarket with. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. If criminals sign up for, buy, and telemarket the DNC list, the Feds have a (potentially false) record of the sale. Do you think criminals really want to engage the Feds when that's so much more risky than getting a robodialer?

Good post, good link. The only caveat is ID theft where you will have a much more difficult time explaining you didn't do it.

I cannot agree with "someone you gave your number too (almost any and everyone you have given it to) has passed it on to a data collection firm, credit bureau, etc." The odds of this happening is extremely because Jennifer would only have given it to her family and inner circle of friends who understand the sanctity of an unlisted private number.

While I agree with "when a poster here cries wolf, ... it impacts the entire site's credibility", I cannot agree with "It only takes a few wannabe shepherds crying wolf to make us all look like hotheaded idiots" because that's somewhere between unsubstantiated and false. The "hotheaded idiots" make themselves look like "hotheaded idiots". They don't make me look like a "hotheaded idiot". The problem with claiming "make us all look like hotheaded idiots" is this provides a path forward to try to control "hotheaded idiots[']" speech which is best left to 800notes Admin Staff and not to you or I. I remind you that "hotheaded idiots[']" speech has the same First Amendment protection as yours or mine. I say let the "hotheaded idiots" post as they wish and let things fall come what may.

Why should we call somebody back that cant leave a dam voicemail saying who they or and why they calling. I had this numbet call me many times and i picked up and the guy i was talking to said that if i didnt pay them for a online payday loan that he has going to call the cops on me and have me put in jail. For one i never had a online payday loan in my life and two you can put some one in jail for no payment u can take them to court for it but u have to send a letter to them first and u need to send more then one letter to make sure they get at lease one of the letters. And the same thing happend to a few of my friends and my sister so if the samething keeps happening to diff people then something its right. And if your a real bussness then you should know that you cant put people in jail for non payment. So who ever you are you need to grow the f*** up and get a life.

I have received several calls from this number over the past month, every time I answer they hang up.  So, guess what?  You've been blocked.  If this was a legit call than maybe you should open your mouth when someone answers instead of hanging up.  Losers.

USCB Corporation is a Collection Agency. That is why they won't answer the questions as to who they are. Do a websearch on them.  Crooks just the same! Some are good companies, and others are nothing more than a bunch of low-life idiots who like to break the law. If you are experiencing debt collection calls or letters, do your homework and learn what they legally can and can not say and do. And as soon as one of them crosses the line, report them. You can sue them for harrassment and unfair debt collection practices.

And before someone goes off on "well people should pay their bills".... yes, they should, but some people aren't in the position to pay non-essential bills right now due to job losses or other uncontrolable financial situations. By heck, if I have to choose between letting a bill go and putting food on the table and a roof over my kids heads, guess which I'm gonna do?!
