I just got a call from this number, Googled it to find out who it was, and found all of these websites that apparently have the same problem with this "Brent Tittle" from Stroudsburg, PA.

Can anything be done to him? Harassment of some sort?

Several calls from this number...no one on the other end. We're on the do not call list.

These calls are from a type of exemptd group designated by the IRS as a 501,c,10. It is not a charity but is associated with private association whose membership is primarily retired public safety personnel. This type of association, whether right or wrong, is specifically exempted from many of the do not call (DNC) regulations. They are NOT exempt from potential enforcement action if they continue to call you after you specifically direct the caller to place your telephone number on the company's internal DNC list. This specific group uses a telemarketer to call on its behalf that is based in Canada. The group says that they are working to correct the problems, but they seem to continue.  By the way, it appears that the 570-402-0180 is just a "pass through" number and the calls actually come from Texas and other locations. Tell the caller to block your number, then file complaints with your state's Attorney General or the FTC. After they get enough complaints, they can do something about it.

we keep receiving calls from this number and we keep ignoring them--they never leave a message on the answering machine...

Received a call tonight from this number, told me they were some "STATEWIDE APPEAL" company. He said Ms.(my last name). I told them I didn't like these calls at 8:30 at night and I was the "Do Not Call List" and asked me who he was and I told him I did know and he said he would keep calling back until I know. How do you get them to stop calling?

just rec'd my third call from this number.  this time heard a beep when i picked up, like an answering machine, then heard nothing.  after saying hello twice, i hung up.

Called no one spoke just disconnect

calls repeatedly. keeps asking for my wife. when i ask what it is regarding, they say never mind and hang up. I actually got a name one time, but it wasn't brent tittle.

Gonna have some fun with them the next time they call, though.

cant take incomming calls calls all the time

same as everyone else, got a call tonight at 8:25 (dec 11, 07), i did not answer, message sounds like background noise, perhaps a bar, called back, said caller can't take messages at this time.

This number has called several times. No one is on the other end and no message is left when I let the machine pck up.

Called tonight at 8:30, wanted to know if I would give money to the police funds to help kids.

Wow, I recieved a call and I was not home. But one of my family members took a call for me and told me that the guy asked for me and then hanged up. Soo scary and it's from the same number.

PLEASE PLEASE do not think that "Brent" is making these calls..... He has not had this phone number for years! Don't know why the phone company has not disconnected his name from the number. Hopefully these calls have stop and no one is receiving any calls. The issue was brought to the police and also the phone company as Brent Tittle has not been making this phone calls. Also please stop making assumptions about him as he is not calling!!!!!!!!! I understand that it scary and annoying to receive these kind of calls, but he is not making them. Hopefully this problem has been resolve and no one is receiving anymore calls.

I received the call around 9 p.m. it rang twice and when i picked up, i heard a beep and after a few seconds the line went dead. I used my cellphone to call this number back and it made background noise and then you hear a recorded message, the subsciber is not accepting calls at this time.  This is very annoying and kinda scary. I would like something done about it.

Do people tend to giggle after saying Brent's last name?

Let me be VERY specific when I say I am a friend of BRENT TITTLE this was his number approx. 6 months ago.  THESE CALLS ARE NOT FROM HIM, if you go to anywho.com and reverse this lookup it belongs to Statewide Appeal in Saylorsburg, Pa.  Enough said!  Don't blame someone you are not even sure about.

The beep is probably a setup to see what time you were home.  I'm sure the "real" call will come at a later date near that same time.  Just my guess.

I got a beep from this jerk.  I instantly reported the number to donotcall.gov  I don't know if there is anything they can do, but I figure it couldn't hurt.

2nd call from this number.  Calls asking for Gordon.  Sounds like a call center in the background.  When I say wrong number he says "I must have the wrong name, and then goes into a spiel that I don't let him finish.  I simply said "Do not call this number again" and hang up.  I think he's claiming to raise money for the State Troopers.

Received a call from this number, I said "Hello" and heard a beep.  THen after a long pause the phone went dead. 570-402-0180

Recd fax tone from this number at 10 a.m. on 2/23/08

7:32 2/19/08 Brett called us. We've been getting these calls for three days straight. Same thing though.. we answer and we hear a beep and it hangs up. We are currently tracing the call and hopefully it'll put a stop to him! My mom and I couldn't believe that we found so many people with the same problem!!

Googled this number cause it was on my cell phone as a missed call when I had calls forwarded from my home phone to my cell phone.   I have a lodging business and often receive calls from unknown persons. I can't afford to let calls go unanswered in case it is a reservation.  Glad I checked it out before calling back.

Same exact thing happens to me, only I get a "beep" when they call me - same message when I call back though...
