Our customer's are receiving calls from this number stating their debit card has been frozen.  We are not a Wells Fargo Bank.  Primary locations in ND and MN.

this number is still active, just got a call, v/m referred to a 900 number or press 1 to cancel. Will try to file a complaint.

I just got a call from them and also don't have an account there. I never answer or call back numbers I don't know. Thank you for letting us know!

I just got that call. It said to hit 1 to reactivate my card. It then asked for my 16-digit account number. It's a phone phishing scam.

They must be war dialing through WA right now. I received a call from them one hour ago.

I keep my cell number limited to very close friends and associates and this missed call just came up. I appreciate this site!

I too, just received an automated call from the number listed (571-248-9966)
I received a similar call a couple days ago, but it was from a blocked number.  Same m-o, Wells Fargo Bank, blah, blah, blah
be careful people...

The following complaint was filed with the Do Not Call Registry and will be filed with our State Attorney General -  0830 am 10/05/2011:
This bogus call was about Wells Fargo advising that my debit card lost.
1) I don't have an account with Wells Fargo.
2) I don't have a debit card from any bank or other financial institution.
3) This was received on my cell phone.
4) I did not have the opportunity to advise them to cease and desist.
5) This was a recorded message which ended abruptly without option to re-listen or respond after the initial statements.
6) This call was phishing for private information.

I knew this must have been a scam, it is not the first time I had this recording but they are different phone numbers. I have never had an account with wells fargo,(571-248-9966)

I just got a call on my cell from this number also.  The recording stated my Wells Fargo debit card had "unfortunately been lost".  I closed my account with them YEARS ago!  It re-directed me to an automated system where I could re-enter my account number.  SCAM!!!!

Just got this call - did not answer based on your posting... and I am a Wells Fargo Client, but where I did not know the number I did not answer.

Wife received a call from this number- according to the recording, her Wells Fargo Visa card was locked.  She does not have a card with them.  It is a SCAM.  30 minutes before, she got a call from 317-215-5321, same thing--- Wells Fargo scam.  DO NOT CALL BACK.
