Had an ad on Craigslist I received a message late at night from this numberasking if I still have the merchandise for sale I respond yes later that day I received the emails asking if I could hold its for them because they're unable to get it at this time ect ect they are scammers

I got a text from this @$$ which he pasted the ad description and asked if its still available. Why do people do this? Whats the motive? CL email is the same shenanigans.

As simple as that! Just tell these texting scammers that Craigslist is NOT ebay. Local only. Come and get it - cash & carry. no cash, no carry.

I got a text from 571-250-7922 for furniture I had for sale on craigslist. Message after I replied read " Hello and Thanks for writing back but I'm sorry I wont be able to come see it anymore.  Had thought i was going to be in your town to come check it out but my plans got changed inpromptu as am embarking on a few weeks business trip to Herndon,Virginia tomorrow morning but However am still interested in purchasing the item anyway i don't mind adding extra 50 dollars to it for keeping it for me am actually getting it."

I said cash only when picked up, and he said he couldnt pay cash. I told him to go scam someone else, and he never replied! LOL!

I received an email via Craig's List about a motorcycle part I had for sale.  The email listed this number as a reply to number.  When contacted, the person claiming to be "Matt" said he would send me a certified bank check and even offered to pay more for me to hold the item till he could pick it up.  Asked me for my name and address.  This is very suspicious and I believe a scam!

We got a text from this number claiming they wanted to buy our vehicle but could only email and text due to a speech disability.   we are in Cali and this number is from Virginia. Not sure what they were trying to do but im sure its a Scam!   B Careful Good People!
