Received call from this number at 12:47 pm, on my prepaid StraightTalk cell phone. Phone screen went dark. All I heard was "Hello", then lost call, or they hung up. When I dialed the number back, I got a recorded message that the number could not be connected as dialed. I then called from my MagicJack connected telephone and got a busy signal. Not a continuous busy signal, but a one time beep-beep and nothing.

I did not answer the call because I didn't recognize the number.  The caller left a message saying his name was Jonathan but did not identify who he worked for.  He said I had spoken to him last week about lowering the interest rates on my credit cards, which is not true because I don't have any credit cards.  He was calling me back with an offer to lower these imaginary rates.  He also said that this was the last "courtesy call" he would make.  I hope that part's true.

Called around 2 PM EST today.  I don't have my voicemail set up, so I Googled the number and found this forum.  I'll be looking around to see what government agencies I can make a complaint to.  The only people that should have my number are my kids and my office, so I'm pretty steamed about it becoming available to scammers.

Just recieved a message from this number. I think the guy said his name is Tim Johnson. He said we spoke last week about lowering my credit rates.  Total scam. I have never talked to anyone about that.

I was asleep at 4:10 pm Central time, and I got a call. All he said was "yeah, hi" really quickly, and hung up. I try to call back and "my call cannot be completed as dialed". Stupid scammers, how'd he get our numbers, anyway?

Same thing happened to me on my cell phone. When I answered my phone as whose is this and they hung up.
Researched this phone number. My IPhone is saying the location is in Linn, MO

got a missed call from this number on my business blackberry.  thanks to this forum I know it was not a call that was important.

While checking the usage of my 8 year old niece's phone I saw this number appear.  The usage said that it only lasted a minute.  I was disturbed due to her only having the phone for a few days as it is and it was purchased just for her to contact family and 911 in emergencies.  Thanks to this forum I will place this number on her blocked list.

Same thing. A male voice said, "yeah, hi". I said hello again and again nothing more and finally he hung up. Oh brother... I had thought it was a wrong number, apparently I was spared from a sales pitch:)

just said two words. "yeah hi"
I said hello afterwards, because I wasn't sure if I heard him correctly, and he never answered.

I got the same call today.  I'm sitting here thinking who in the world could this be.  I don't owe anyone money.  I'm guessing it's a scam and am blocking this number.

Got 'Yeah, hi' in a youngish male voice and then the hangup.

Somebody just called; Said "Yeah, hi".  Then nothing.

I called the linn pd, they are checking this out.

I received a call from this number . He just said Yeah Hi and hung up the call.

Same deal, said "Hi There" and phone went blank.

A man said Hi! and hung up

Same thing,some guy called my cell and said,"um hi" then nothing,I had to hang up.Then about 15 minutes later the same number called my friends cell but he didn't answer it.

"Yeah hi" hung up.

Received call 4:00 p.m. EST 1/21/10, person said "Yeah Hi, then hung up.

I do not know what they intend to do with this info once they learn my number is active.

i got the "Yea, hi"  too a couple hrs ago. called number form another phone and call could not be completed

I got a call today from a guy - he didn't say what company he was calling on behalf of or anything - I have no clue....   "I have a great opportunity for ya, uh...this will be the last courtesy call that I will make, so please give me a ring today. You can reach me here at  1-866-237-7637, again thats toll free, 1-866-237-7637."

if you get a live one and u have a few minutes listen to their pitch and play along, then compliment them on their great delivery and suggest they quit their job today and move on to a legit company.
