My call was received on Jan 9; called twice and left message.  Caller was Jim Blue, and number to call was 866-414-2022.  Caller ID showed number as 574-234-5459, and caller as Sweepstakes Promotion.  I know I didn't enter any contest to win a Ford Explorer or Lincoln Navigator in the past six months - or ever.  Was a very nice, and polite voice.  So being curious, I called the number.  "Blue" had just stepped out for a bite (it was about dinner time on east coast); so "Mike" took my call.  He thanked me for calling, and said they were volunteers working for the sponsor doing their part to help get the economy back on track.  He asked me to verify that I was in the West Palm Beach area (didn't ask for specific address or other info), and if I were between 35 & 75 years old and married; nothing more.  Didn't ask for any critical financial info.  Said I was one of 25 finalists, and winner would be announced within 72 hours, and gave me a confirmation reference - ITC SMG.  That was it.  I have since wondered if these people already had certain personal information of mine, and just were using this ruse to verify my phone number; which would presumably give credence to other information they may have had.  I'm thinking seriously about putting a fraud alert into the credit reporting companies.

I've also gotten calls in the last few days from Jim.  He said I was one of four finalists.  Since I'm the third one on this list, there must be one more out there.  Actually I don't really want a Ford Rollover or Lincoln Navigator so I guess your chances of winning are now ONE out of THREE!  Good Luck!

I received a call from this number today.  He left a message.  This time the person calling was Ben Chow, extention 0.  Same message as everyone else. I'm one of 8 finalists.  I'm not going to call back.  I don't recall ever entering a contest for these.

I too received a call last night from a Sam Keys from Sweepstakes PRO with the number 574-234-5459. He said that I was one of 14 finalist to win a Lincoln Navigator, Cash, 3 night vac. to Orlando,Vegas or Cancun or a 32" TV in some drawing that my son put me in for at the Mall. He was very Polite and professional and only wanted to verify our household income greater than a certain amount. Didn't ask any more personal questions. He told us that we had to bring our ID's and a Major Credit card. I usually think this is a Hoax and someway of stealing our identities. So I dont think we'll drive the 45 minutes for the presentation. My son thinks I'm being ridiculous and could win something nice. I told him If I did win they should tell me exactly what I had won and to come pick it up, not to get us in a room and try to sell us something I wouldn't buy anyway. And onlt to win from a scratch off card. Should I report this?

Received a call from 931-840-9532 with same announcement of my winning one of four prizes.  I'm supposed to call back 888-578-1482 to find out which prize I definitly won.  Googled "SMG explorer" which led me to this site and confimed my thoughts of a scam.

Unlike the DoNotCall.gov complaint form which must be enforced by your State Attorney General, most of whom don't bother, the FCC will take enforcement action. Make sure you say they were advertising commercial goods. It is against the law to leave messages as they do when it is to get you to call in order to sell you something.
