same experience. saying there was fraudulent activity on my social, that I should call their legal department. i did not call, as i felt confident this was a scam. glad to know others had the same experience.

It seems that the people using this number  it is scamming many people. I received kind of the same messages like other people from number 574-968-8832 from apparently a company called Jossity Henderson treatining me about my SS # attached to some ilegal activity, they stated on the message a case #. Several messages from it. I researched the humber and it is from a company located on South Bend Indiana.
Then another guy called witht he same thing, he called from the number 727-209-7376.
I called them today and they could not explain to me reason of messages.

Thank you This is the 4th time they called my phone. This call they gave a case # and a phone number for me to call and to ask for the legal dept. I hope this is some kind of scam. They said they will be sending out summons to my work or home.. I do not know what to do with this...

Just got a very garbled message from this number. I didn't answer but they left a message about fraudulent activity, summons, etc.  Called the local PD and reported them.  While there's not much the PD can do about these calls, they are a good source of information and do their best to let the public know about the scams that are going around. Next call to the state AG's office, then to the FCC.

You are correct that this is a scam. Who calls in advance to warn you about being served and far as i know debt collectors can not take anyone's legal rights away as they are not law enforcement.

Just got a call from 574-968-8332 stating they were from Processing & Summons Division stating that fraudulent activity had been tied to my social security number.  Gave me a case # and said my legal rights would be forfeited if I didn't contact them prior to being served at my place of employment or at my home.  Obviously this isn't true.  It was an automated call.  Had it been legit, it would have confirmed who had answered and would have identified the company, not just a division.  

Same thing happens to me everyday ,last time i just turned on the dyson and put the hose to the reciever! Hey take that scammers! That got them to hang up!

This number have also been calling my home and on my job!!!  Leaveing the exact same message, thanks for the info!  Some people in this world is really CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the info! Today is the 3rd they call my work phone but not my name acturally is former co-worker who has been retired for years.

This number (574) 968-8332 has been calling my office phone several times with accusations of fraudulent charges of someone who does not even work here. I am tired of it and am sure its a scam.

I have also received the exact same phone call from 574-968-8332 stating I had fraudulent activities in my name pending; they said I had summons processing; that I should call certain numbers back and refer to case#s they left.  Next several days I received calls from more people stating a summons would be served to me at my home or at my place of work. I'm so tired of this happening to good people that have better things to do with their time.

I have received calls in the last 1 1/2 weeks from 786-240-0413, 574-968-8332, 702-534-6063, 866-495-0995, 256-213-1664, 877-448-8660 and 765-296-2227 stating I had fraudulent activities in my name pending; they said I had summons processing; that I should call certain numbers back and refer to case#s they left.  Next several days I received calls from more people stating a summons would be served to me at my home or at my place of work.  If I did not want this to happen, to call a certain number back and reference the case # to get it resolved.

I have received calls saying the same thing from seven different numbers the past two weeks. I thought it was a scam from the beginning and am thinking I should change my number. I haven't called any of the numbers back and don't intend to...

Descriptions in this thread are of extortion dressed as debt collection. Consumer debts in America, including payday loans, are a *CIVIL* matter, not criminal! Honest debt collectors do not typically send their claims straight to a judge, and they don't take your ransom money to broker quick deals with so-called "process servers". Lawful debt collection is a process, not an ambush, and you are due a chance at each stage to raise a dispute. The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. Do not reward lawbreakers with your money. Challenge them always, sue them if you can.

Other commentors might help identify the thugs but they cannot "stop them" on your behalf. It's up to each of us to complain to the correct desks and file suit against scofflaw debt collectors when possible.

have been receiving a call from 574-968-8332 for last two days saying a summons will be delivered to work or residence and gives case number.  The name they give is incorrect for anyone I know.  I called the number back to tell them they had the wrong number and it just goes to a voice mail.  Please try and find who is doing this and stop them

They called my neighbor, exact same recording asking for me at my neighbors (they are both cops) they hung up and then called them back and said why are you calling my house for someone I do not know, they said oh we are sorry, let me lookup your info to see if it is you we needed, they hung up.  BUT get this, they called my house the next day asking for my neighbors.   BIG BIG SCAM to get your personal info to steal identities

Received calls from 574-968-8332 and 501-490-9400 stating had 2 fraudulent activities in my name; processing summons; call these numbers back and refer to case # they left.  Next 2 dayd received call from man stating he would be serving a summons to me at my home or at my place of work.  If I did not want this to happen, call 203-610-6489 reference the case # to get it resolved.  I called the 574 #, young sounding African American girl answered and wanted to verify last 4 of ss#.  I said no, she stated she could not reveal what the case was unless I did.  I told her I knew she and the company was a scam and just wanted to confront them.  She stated that if I knew it was a scam, then why did I call them?  Told her that I wanted them to know that I was reporting them to the authorities - she hung up. HA!  Still got another call from the dude yesterday.

I received a call saying I have a summons and to reference a case number. They want to serve at my house or work and official notice. However they have incorrect last name. From reading other posts sounds like a scam from Elkhart IN.

I got the same types of calls mentioned above. I pulled my credit report to see if there was anything fishy going on, that looked good. So, I called our state's AG office to see if they've had similar complaints. I was told this is definitely a scam trying to gather info. I was told to block the number and definitely do not call it. They will be looking into it.

I got the exact voice messages as other people did. this must be a scam and should be reported to the FBI.

1-760-819-8360 is another number calling and saying the exact same thing but we are in California....watch out it definitly sounds like a scam, I am sending the recording to the FBI and asking  a local news station to look into it

This number has called my house and cell 15 times in the last 2 days. I get a recorded message stating that my name and social security number has been associated with fraudulent activity and I have 2 court summons pending. Then there is a case number to refer to when you call them back to "resolve the issue." I knew it sounded fishy especially when they didn't even have my last name correct. I did some research and tons of other people have gotten the exact same messages from a similar number: 574-968-8331. SCAM to get your personal information.
