I've received 4 calls since yesterday. And 4 voicemails. This guy is crazy. This should all be reported to the FTC. OR federal Trade commision. They are taking complaints with a case number. The more you report to them the bigger the case against these people. They will act. Call FTC HELP. that's the number. They worked with me yesterday.
He's NOT out of business. I can sure you

I troll them occasionally.  I usually yell at them telling them I know its a scam and that the US national security agency has located their call center and placed them on a target list.  They usually respond with obscenities.  I use my cell.  Never my land line.

SpecialK I have absolutely *no* intention of calling these numbers, let alone scummy extortion scammers since they have not yet called me.  I'm not about to let them have my phone number either. I rarely get any calls, let alone of this type. I'm not going to lower myself to their level, let alone allow them to pass my number on to other extortion scam ops..  I get enough therapeutic fun busting the shills for the scams here..

He actually answers one out of 10 calls and gets very pissed off.

I got a call from this number yesterday around 10:00 AM (Saturday). This person was rude when my wife took the call. The person told me that he was calling from IRS and asked me if I was aware if there was an issue with my last years income tax and that I am being investiaged. He asked to call Agent 'Mark Victor' at 585-444-6507 (the same number i got the call from) to discuss the next steps. Didn't give any extension number.
I asked if I can get a IRS public number (800..) to call and he sternly told me that he was calling from IRS and I must speak to this agent. When I tried to get further information about the issue he said that he is just a paralegal and wouldn't be able to provide any information.
This call looked like it was from some call center and was definitely a scam call. I haven't called the number back.

Didn't provide any information identifying myself or my case details. Looked professional but used threating language, and I don't think IRS does cold calls on Saturdays.

Well, now you know about it, and thanks for warning your friends about it, too.

You can also direct them to the first post in this thread, which kind of blows the lid off these scammers:

I hadn't heard of this scam yet. However this morning on my cell phone I received a call from this number from a woman with an Indian accent. She stated that I was under investigation from my last year's taxes and for more information I need to contact the IRS Investigation.

I said what is this about? And she pretty much repeated (as if scripted) what was stated earlier. I guess I totally tripped her up LOL. So again I asked what is the problem and whom exactly am I supposed to be asking for. She stated slowly I  R S .. I replied with I know who friggin' IRS is you damn idiot. Give me the number" Which was the exact number she was calling from ... again idiots. My first reaction - Google the number. Which led me to here.

I've warned a few friends already just in case. And yes I knew immediately it was a scam.

I had the same annoying call today. I busted the scam and continuously tried to call back to bother them then they blocked my calls totally. I tried to report to the authority but no one would pick up or respond.

They will continue to call back until someone respond to their calls. If it's unavoidable then we should all just call this 585-444-6507 number pretend to be FBI, CIA or even an IRS agent to annoy them back until they block your number.

What is the next big thing?
Call 585-444-6507!

A dude called - claiming from IRS - threatened to cease my properties and bank accounts without giving much details on owed tax.
When I asked which tax year I owe tax on, why I didn't receive notice via postal mail and a whole bunch of other logical questions, he hung up on me and ask me to wait for the sheriff to get my butt in jail.

I've received the same call this morning, from this guy pretending to be IRS agent. He mentioned IRS is issuing a subpoena for my arrest because of my intentional fraudulent tax filing back in 2010-2011. Basically the same threats everyone else mentioned here. When he got busted with his scam his hostile language really got on my nerves! Why can't the authorities do something about this?

He called me yesterday and left the same message.  Then called at 7:45 this morning.  Just used my name, not my husband's.   Same guy.  The name he used sounds like Ricky Jury.  All the same scenario.  Why can't someone stop them?  Will be reporting them but with the Magic Jack phone number, they could be in Europe for all we know, and probably are.

Got a call today at 8:52 a.m.  Sounded like someone handed the phone over to someone else when I actually answered.  Male Indian voice, very polite, said he's John Smith from the IRS. I asked what he wants. He said there is a deficiency on my last year's taxes, did I know that?  I told him No, there isn't, besides the IRS would contact me by mail.  He said they sent me a letter last month, I should check my mail.  I assured him that I check my mail every day, there has been no letter, and I have no issues with the IRS.  He said he would "send (me) something criminally in 45 minutes"  and he hung up.  LOL! That might be the most truthful statement of his entire scam!  I wrote a complaint on the FTC.gov website and called and left a complaint with the IRS Treasury Inspector General hotline at 1-800-366-4484.  Everyone should report these calls and whether the caller(s) are in Henrietta, NY or somewhere else or overseas, perhaps law enforcement can track them down.

Prank Call
I've been receiving calls from this number for a few days, sometimes he leaves a message and sometimes no message.  I answered this morning to try to put a stop to it, told "John Smith from the IRS" that no, he's not, he's a scammer and to stop calling me.  He called again this afternoon, left a long rambling, incohent (due to thick accent) message.  I called back, he answered "Hello?" and without identifying myself, just said "Why do you keep calling me?  I want you to stop calling."  He quickly identified my phone number, used my first name and said he will send me a letter, recited my address, and said he would see me in court.  I said "No problem, I'm an attorney.  I am very comfortable in court."  He said "No, you're not, you're nothing, you're a F***ing w**re" and he hung up.  I'm advising the FTC.  Someone needs to stop this guy.
