Have been warned that IRS will never call you, so this is a scam. Wouldn't the phone company know who owns this line?

Got the same call from Heather. What a joke!. Had the wife in a tizz.. Thought the full force of the IRS was coming at us.. Sad sad sad sad.

Received same call (IRS) same phone number as many others.  I called the State Police in NY and they have the info and also told me to call my local county police..which I did.  They told me that the FCC is aware and the federal authorities are pursuing this problem at the 585 area code?Call your local police and let them know about the fraudulent calls?Puts more pressure on the Feds.

I recieved the same call. And have recieved several this year. My accountant told me IRS Never calls they always contact you through mail.

Us too. Call from the 585-444-7056 number. When I asked "Brandon Brown" for his office address, he hanged up, or hung up. I always get those confused. Scam

Recieved a message cliaming it is from the IRS.When I called back, it was asking for a code inorder to get connected.why would the IRS requires a code if they were the one left the message to call back at this #?

Same message as others are receiving.  "Heather Gray" needs me or my attorney to return her call.  She is from the "IRS."  IRS website clearly states you will be contacted by mail, not by robovoice.  So done with these calls.  This is the second in 24 hours.  Reporting scam to IRS.

Please call these scammes  back and harass them.That's what I did.  That is what they deserve and not money. Thanks.

Received another call today, but missed answering. No message was left for me. Called number back and let it ring for 2 minutes...no answer.

We have also been getting these calls and the same thing as what others have reported. After hearing the message left on the voicemail, we don't bother answering either. At 4:58 this morning we were rudely awakened by the same number!

I received a call today from an automated woman's voice stating she was from the IRS and I needed to call back immediately before they take action. I googled # and this was one of the sites I found with all the complaints stating this call is a scam.

I am Chicago area in northwest suburb and I received a call at home phone no from 585-444-7056 and says calling from IRS and sherriff will be coming to arrest me for not paying for IRS money..
I said ok let me have information and I will talk to my lawyer and he hanged up .

Just got the call from West Henriet, NY with the same message.  So glad I looked up the number.  Thank you everyone for the heads up.

We got one call from this number  a few days ago with an automated voice telling us we owed money for a bad debt. We did not call back. Today, we got a call from a similar number 585-568-6673. They told us that we should have our lawyer contact them for a bad debt, and that they were starting legal proceeding against us. We again didn't call them back. Some people?????!!!!!!!! Really!!!!!!! Do they not have morals?

No it can't.  They are located in India and beyond the reach of US laws.  This is an ongoing scam perpetrated by many call-centers throughout India.

I received a call two months ago from "Officer Brandon Brown from X-Investigators, a division of the IRS" with the same message as the other posts. I returned "Officer Browns" call and told him to go F*** himself", he then told me to "go to h*** and get arrested." "Officer Brown" also had a bad speech defect which made him sound even more absurd!

Today, it was a robo call from none other than "Hanna Gray!" These fools just won't quit.

received a recorded message  monday 5/19/14 at 8:25 am and again on 5/20 at 7:40am: claimed to be an irs official and should return her call before she initiates legal proceedings. I've call the irs official number instead to verify and report the # and the call. will also call local tv station and nyc official for a heads-up!

i received a call from them at 7:46am asking about someone that lives with me. I said he wasnt in and what was the nature of the call. Brandon Brown alleged it was due to an error with the taxes he filed in previous years.  Like the other callers, he hasn't received any notice in the mail that there is a problem. I think it definitely a scam.

Received a call yesterday and today at work. Automated voice from Heather Gracy IRS officer like everyone else.  Number comes up as New York Call 585.444.7056.

I have been getting calls from this number for the last week! They have called me 3 times so far and left message asking me to return phone call!

Received call from Heather Gray from W. Henriet, NY. same as everyone mentioned. Did try calling back but rang endlessly and I'm glad to find that it is a scam call.

Just recvd same message(5/17/2014 10.25 am pst)  from an automated voice telling her name is Hanna Gray and from IRS. Asked to not ignore this message otherwise face consequences (legal litigation). Asked to call back immediately .

I just rec'd the same message from one Heather Gray, from the IRS telling me to retain counsel or face the consequences.
I looked this number up on Google, discovered as suspected it was a fraudulent call and reported them.  Also called the number back and told Them to retain counsel. . . .

Got a phone message today claiming they were with the IRS. Showed up as W Henrietta NY on caller ID. Sounded like a scam and this page confirms it!

I just received a call from this number, with caller ID saying West Henriet, NY.  This is a scam! The IRS does not work in this manner.  This is a criminal gang that often preys on recent immigrants. This caller spoke with an  American accent. Previous ones spoke with a thick Indian accent. Don't fall for it!

Rec'd the same call.  When I called the number back a live person answered.  When I asked what they wanted he asked for my phone number.  When I gave it to him the line went dead.  I only called back because the message said to retain counsel to return the call.  But as stated above IRS doesn't call people.

Pretends to be a lady from the IRS. Have received earlier calls from a different number in a male voice. Looks like he hired an accomplice (or a computer)?

Yes sir. I got the same call from heather.  What a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!  Deleted the message and went and had lunch.
