some one called saying they had a personal matter for me and asking to verify my last 4 of my social security number and the social security number she gave me was not my last 4. how did they get my number and why call at 7pm to discuss personal matter

caller left message with intended receipients name.  I didn't listen to the entire message.  they are a debt collector.

I get no less than 10 calls a day both at my college and at my cell number from this number. No message is left on the cell, but they ask for me at the school. Can they do that? have you removed from a class to discuss collections? I was under the impression that once told to stop or discontinue the calls to this number that they were to stop. Both my school and myself have asked this to STOP. It has not. They call from 8am Eastern time till 9pm.

These guys have been buggin me all day...they hang up when I answer! Maybe cause I just started a bankruptcy? I don't know

These people keeping calling my job and I told this woman that I don't owe any money and they need to correct it in their systems. Yes she and the other man are jerks.

Message was blank on voice mail at work. BUT it did come up on caller id as PCR and phone number 585-492-8199.

Call from a woman from New York asking for my neighbors contact information. She said she was doing business with them and lost their contact info. I gave them no info. about me or my neighbor.

The company is called Pinoneer Financial, they are a debt collection agency. There is very rude, arrogant and bi-polar woman named 'Kathy'...who refuses to listen and she says things like:

"The law states you must pay this off in full"
"The law states you must get a personal loan to pay this off, no installments"
"The law states we must taket his money from you involuntary through your work"

It's a bill collector... They get paid to bug you or me... It is a pain in the rump that they don't leave a message but owell what ever they are trying to get, I bet they don't get it...

Moron. Read FDCPA before you post.  you can get calls on sunday.  In fact you can get calls any day between the hours of 8 am and 9pm in your time zone.

I received several calls from this number: it shows up PCR, but when I answered they hung up. I called back and was told all agents were busy. I stayed on hold for 30 minutes, listening to requests to continue to hold. After 30 minutes, it disconnected me. I have no outstanding student loans or any other debt, so I was just trying to have them take my number off their calling list.

HELLO MORON!, i am one of the people who you are referring to and i'm not driving around i a fancy car (unless you call a 1997 kia with a bad muffler fancy) and i believe the greater fraud has been done to me.  the one where they convinced me that it would be worth it to get a college degree FALSE!  second, i AM paying my bills and they still keep calling me every GOD DAMN F****NG DAY! oh and i rent a one bedroom apartment so F*** YOU!

how can these calls come through even tho i registered on a do not call list? what can be done to have them stop?

I got a call from this number and the woman on the phone said she was trying to contact a friend who lives on my street.  The caller knew my last name.  The address she was asking about is across the street and 1-2 houses east of mine.  She asked if it was near me and I said that it was.  She asked if I knew the person she was looking far and I said I did not.  She thanked me and hung up.  The background noise on the line sounded like a call center.

This is PIONEER CREDIT RECOVERYM, a student loan Debt collection agency. They try to act as if they are not asking for you bc they think that if they ask for you directly you'll know who they are so then they cant catch you... if that makes any sense?

Called and asked for Jeff Green, the person who owned this house before us.  We are always upset to get calls for him as he is wanted by the FBI and the police have come looking for him here almost once a year.  We think Mr. Green uses our address to get credit cards as we often get offers in his name.  Anyway, did *69 and got this phone number.  Great!! Now we're going to get calls for his defaulted studnt loans, too.  Now what?

I received a call from this number tonight too looking for a neighbor down the street?!?! Even if I knew those people I wouldn't give out any information and since I don't know these people how did they get MY unlisted home phone number?!?!?! They wouldn't tell me who they were, but I called back and it said it was Pioneer Credit Recovery. I did some searching on the internet and apparently they are a company that deals in defaulted student loans. I'm going to call back tomorrow and ask someone why they are calling me and where did they get my unlisted number.

you are incorrect, collectors cannot legally call you at anytime on Sunday. Definitely tape the call, get the name number and address, and send  them a "cease and desist" letter by certified mail, a sample of which can easily be found on the internet.

I received a call from this company at 7:12 tonight.  The asked for me by name, when I asked who it was, the lady only said, "Megan".  I let her know I was the person she was looking for and she quickly said something, I couldn't understand it.  The only word I caught was, "recorded".  She tells me that she is looking for XXX XXX, the last name happened to be my maiden name.  I tell her that I don't know this woman and she tells me that the lady has me down as her daughter.  I became concerned immediately and started asking her a bunch of questions.  I let her know that it upset me that my information was used without my consent.  I know this person has my full married and maiden name, as well as my phone number.  I ask her for any info possible on this person.  Of course, she tells me that she cannot give out this information.  I ask her what information she has on me, and she says again that she cannot give out this information.  I am getting more upset, so I ask her to tell me again what company she works for and who she is.   She hangs up!

I am very upset over all of this.  Someone has information on me and is using it.  I have no clue what other information they have on me.  This lady wouldn't even tell me about the company that she was calling for.  I have filed a misc. police report on this.  I am concerned that someone is attempting to steal my identity and this company will not even tell me the information they have on me.  

For the people saying that this company is all good and we need to answer our phones, because they are just trying to collect our debt... Most of the post I have read are about other people's debts, including people they don't even know.  The actions of this company are completely inappropriate.

After putting several different phone numbers on Google that have been calling on my cell phone, I found out they are ALL Pioneer collection agency!  How can this company have so many different area codes if it is out of New York?  They called once and asked for me by name and then asking if the last four digits of my ss# were ####. Repeatedly asking me, I finally flat out said no, and hung up.

When I was trying to lay my sick 2 year old down for a nap this number called my house. Being that I was preoccupied, I didnt/couldnt answer the phone.  Not even 30 seconds later this number called again. I rushed to answer the phone, assuming since they are calling back to back something must be wrong... and it was some guy asking for a Lisa chick! My name is not Lisa. However after finally getting it through to the guy that I wasnt who he was looking for, he explained to me that he was calling about a Cynthia... which is my mother.  He said he had a personal business matter to discuss with her and she left my number as a contact/reference number.  I told him I was not comfortable giving him any information about my Mother but that I would pass along the phone number and she would call him back.  He was very rude when I wasnt going to give him her address and current phone number... I asked him to please not call my house twice in a row for something so unimportant that doesnt have anything to do with me. I have problems of my own... and I know these collectors have a job to do- BUT I am sick of getting so many phone calls and being harrassed for a debt that is not even my own.  I hope these people dont call me back!

Whomever said that Pioneer is a professional and caring company must work for them.  They are awful.  We've been trying to get things sorted out with them for months.  they are incredibly rude.  I cannot wait until the debt is paid and I never have to deal with those jerks again.

Received a call from this number just a few minutes ago. She was very polite, but insisted that if I didn't give her my checking account info she would have to list me as "refused to pay". I still wouldn't give her the info. She claims she can garnish my Social Security and Disability but a Bankruptcy Attorney told me they can't. I told her that if she sent me billing info, that I would make arrangements to make payments but she said she couldn't do that UNLESS I gave her checking account and payment over the phone. So I just said "Well we're at an impass then because I won't give out that info over the phone to anyone." Oh and she gave me an extension number,22451, but I didn't get her name. This was also for a student loan.

answered phone w/ company name - got dead air (do we see a pattern here?). *69'd the call, got the phone number & called it. Got a recording for Pioneer Credit Recovery & hung up. I'm not aware of any accounts we have outstanding, so I'd love it if these people would kiss off.

These people are annoying, I got there number now I feel like going up to upstate ny and blowing there building down for this s*** of a harrasment.

I agree with JK and "pick up your phones" Unfortunately, I was dumb enough to get myself into a debt situation.  Who was the one who helped?? Pioneer.  The lady was such a doll and it really seemed like she cared about me and my situation.  I am on track to get out of this and go on with my life.
Just answer your phones, yes sometimes you won't want to deal with it, but ignoring it will only make it WORSE... put on your big kid pants and become an adult!
