I'm getting these calks weekly.same situation about my computer.

Man with Indian accent says my windows computer has virus.   He calls weekly.

Not only this numbers ther are many more numbers which calls me agter 9 pm n troubles me when i pic the call no one answers

Got a call from this number 585-599-3948 at 5 AM this morning in a womans voice all she got out was she was a Tech, I told her it waS 5 am and I'am still in bed and I Hung up. Yes this is a scam.

Call from this company saying they were from Microsoft and I downloaded something and they needed to fix it. They told me to go and turn on my computer.  Told them I knew it was a scam and they hung up.  

Called me this morning at 10 AM. I live in Norway so that means these guys are up at 4AM ET calling me which is kind of impressive:) I didn't answer though so hopfully they won't call back:)

Saw the number & did not recognize it/did not answer - assumed it was a telemarketer or scam.

Tried to call this number back and got a message that this number is not in service.  How can that be???  We are on the "Do not call list" and have been getting at least 2 to 3 call a day from solicitors.....

Picked up on second ring.  Indian accent.  There was a lot of background noise and keyboard typing going on.  The man asked for our IT Manager but hung up before I could transfer him.

Caller ID says Corfu, NY.  No voicemail left.

Just got an 11:30 pm call from this number in Corfu, NY.

Same here! Found this number on the callerslist today. Wasnt home at the time.
Every week  we get calls by numbers outside holland. Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft.
Called microsoft  about this matter. They say those calls are made by  CYBERCRIMINALS!!!!!
Never ever listen to what they say and tell them you called Microsoft and local police authority. Than they quickly hang up.

I also got this call.  The first time, I told them to slow down because they were talking to fast, so they hung up on me. The second time, I told them that I did not understand what they were saying.  They said that it was for my computer, so I told them that I did not have a computer and they hung up on me.
I knew that this was a scan because they also called my sister in-law.

Just received a call (3:45 pm MST 25Aug2012) saying my computer was causing some kind of internet connection issue (they didn't say virus).  I wasn't even using my computer at the time.  It was just logged into my e-mail account sitting idly by.  Caller had an east Indian accent.  He said I needed to make sure I was sitting at my computer so he could guide me to the message that would explain what was wrong.  I have an internet security suite that, so far, has been good to indicate anytime I should be concerned about a connection issue - it wasn't giving any message to indicate a problem.  Anyway, when I asked the caller which company he was calling from, he ignored the question and persisted in "troubleshooting" my internet connection by taking me to the error message.  I"m good with English dialects but even I found him difficult to understand, so when I asked what company he was calling from again he got his "supervisor".  The supervisor said my connection to the internet was causing some kind of issue and he would need to show me the message.  I immediately disabled my wireless connection and told him I wasn't connected to the internet so how could there be any problem.  He quickly hung up the phone.

A friend of mine from work also reported a similar call several months back but I don't know if it originated from the same number.

J just got call offering me a 6 month free telephone service, just connect our device to your computer and telephone.  I asked where he was and he said he was calling from 649 Wildcat Road, Ontario.  seemed a bit confused when I explained Ontario is a geographical area as big as Pakistan and asked what city.....
They just don't give up!

I just got a call from the same number. A woman with an east Indian accent said she was calling from windows and wanted to talk to me about my computer. I told her I didnt have a computer so she hung up. I hope they do call back again because I wont be so nice next time.

Got a call from the same number.. saying that we had been hacked. "John" was calling from somewhere in the States, claiming to be in the tech support from Microsoft. Wanted to gain remote access through their website www.instapccare.com. He got very rude when I told him that I didnt have the time to talk. The first question that I asked was how much this was going to cost and he said at first that this was free of charge. BS! This is another scam, very similar to the one that called us in January who told us that it was going to be upwards of 1000 dollars to help remedy the "warnings" located in event viewer...SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Microsoft (fake) virus warning by middle eastern scammer...can't we send someone over there to do away with these clowns?

Got a call from this number this morning. Was a woman. She asked for someone with a middle eastern name and I said she had the wrong number. She asked if I was a family member and I said no. She then asked me who I was to which I replied 'why do you want to know' and she said 'its about your windows' (I believe she meant computer). I said sorry got to go and hung up. This happened to my friend (whose computer she has not been able to turn on for months, so therefore there can't be an issue with windows).

I received a call from 585-599-3948, from a man of Middle Eastern descent, claiming to be from windows maintenance support department. He told me he was contacting me because my computer was sending them warning error messages via the internet that my computer had a virus. They wanted me to logon and join a remote control session on "teamviwer.com" to correct the problem. This is a fraudulent call. Don't give them remote access to your computer. Microsoft doesn't monitor people?s computers for viruses, they don't contact people asking to get remote access to your computer and they don't use teamviewer.com. I hope this helps.

Was working tonight, my two kids at home and old enough to be at home alone.  My daughter (12) got her new laptop today and had just finished setting it up when the phone rang.  She answered and the man with an eastern accent said he was from Microsoft and told her she was in trouble and she needed to immediately go to her computer.  My son (15) was sitting with her but she did not had the phone to him.  He was scaring her telling her she had viruses, and she started crying and hung up on him.  Called me immediately at work.  She was sooo scared and believed she had done something to her brand new computer and didn't want to touch it anymore.  I came home right away..poor thing.  If they call my house, they will be the ones to be scared!!!  I've told the kids not to answer any 800 numbers..now this number as well as 914-271-9628 that called my house last night and hung up.  I returned the call which the number has been disconected...however that is possible, I'll never know.  I googled that number and says it's scam Microsoft.  How are we to know anymore!?  I so hope the call me!!!!  What can we do to stop this?

Update reported number and agency to the Federal Trade Commission. The agency said they were from US Govt Grant agency. There is no agency! Please call the Federal Trade Commission! at: 877-987-3728 and report any phone calls. If you try to call the 585-599-3948 the number has been disconnected. That means they are re-routing the calls.... Let all friends and family be aware of these calls!

Call was from Corfu, NY, Caller had a foreign accent. He said the govt had identified me as getting a $7000. grant for paying my mortgage on time. I questioned him about the grant and the company he was calling from. He became belligerent. I told him I was on the do not call registry, he said he didn't care. He said he would not take me off the calling list. He told me I could report them to the FBI or any government agency. This guy had guts! I asked him if he was a US citizen, he would not answer me. DO NOT fall for these scams! Please turn them into the do not call registry and your local agencies.

Received a call from this number and they told me they were the operating support centre and that my computer was putting out viruses.  So I asked what the company name was and they said the same. I then said so you are saying you are from Microsoft? and all they would say is the support centre.  I asked if this is a scam since they would not tell me directly what company they are.  They wanted me to go to my computer and change some settings...I told them hell no, what so they can take over my computer and do whatever!....scam scam scam
Never let someone talk  you through changing settings on your computer to allow incoming.

I received a call from this # at 6:45 am!!! When I aswered nothing.I tried to call it back and got a diconnected message??? How does that work???

Male of a Middle Eastern descent, claims to be from "The Stanley Group", reading from a script trying to sell information about the stock market, and investments.

Just got one from this number this afternoon.  I've been getting a ton from different numbers lately, since our oldest son's been surfing the web for college info.  

Tired of calls and no messages left, I answered this one, only to be greeted with an extremely loud, horrid white noise type of grinding sound on the other end.
