I too have gotten a call from them but the guy who called me was named Carl Miller.  I, now after reading one of the post about filing a compaint with the ic3.gov.  Well I want to thank the person for their help.  I'm going to the local authories and putting in my complaint with that website.  I'm not letting these people get away with what they are doing.  Everyone who has visited this page needs to do the same if they haven't already.

Some fool named Nick Wilson with a strong Hindu accent keeps calling asking for my underage son.  When I ask for what, he claims that he's calling from a gov. agency about a national crime investigation and can't give me any details.  Just to have my son call him immediately.  After reading the above posts,  Mama and Papa got something for his a** the next time he wants to call!

Received a message on my voicemail from this number.  A guy with an Indian accent went on and on about money owed, a judgement, courts, etc.  He used a name that was not mine, along with the last four digits of a SS# that was not mine.  At first it sounded like it might be important to someone, so I called the number back to tell them that they had the wrong number.  This jerk would not even listen to me.  Asked me, "If you are not Miss so and so, how did you get her message?"  What? You left it on my voicemail!!! Could not get it across to him that he had the wrong number.  He asked how long I had had my phone number and when I told him 15 years, he said that was impossible.  WHAT? I made the mistake of telling him my last name and that he was  calling a private home and then he said to me "That is the other name on this judgement".  Bull****!!!  It was only then that I realized this was some kind of scam.  Had to yell over him talking to tell him to remove my number from his list.  If they call again, I will call the police.

I received a call from them today stating they caller is with Financial Fraud Prevention 1.  No such business for one.  Second, caller has accent and third, everyone has listed it as a scam call.  I went online from a search for a payday loan over 2 years ago, at the beginning, many many phone calls but they have since slowed down.  They need to provide you with documents that you owe the debt.  They need to file the claim against you in order for them to come and arrest you.  If it was a true US government agency, they would have a designated phone number and business listing.  They would also be willing to talk to you and not demand that you owe them money or that you are going to be arrested.  IDIOTS is what they are.  I know a lot of people think it is legit but the one person who should pay us all back is Montel Williams.  It was from his commercial that I looked online for a payday loan.  Don't ever go there and look, they call you for all kinds of money!!  Montel should quit being their sponsor unless he is truly involved in the corruption.  You never know these days, but I would think he would want to make sure it is a legit claim and that no one would be up for a scam against it either.  I can tell you it was through the commercial by Montel Williams because I never had gone online to get a payday loan until I saw his commercial.

Prank Call
I recived a call from these people 4 days ago stateing that I was going to be aressted for money I did not recieve.  If I had gotten it I would have remembered.  They stated that they needed me to go to court and that I had a case filed aginst me.  I told them to kiss my A.. I am not going to pay enyone for something I did not get.  And I reported them.  I hope they are cought soon.  This is crazy. Some people just do not have money to pay for someone else needs. I called them back eary in the morning caught them by supprise.  With a goverment backing you would expect a title first but they answered just like you were calling a friend.  did not identify themselves or anything. I knew then that it was a scam. Watch out for those 601 area code numbers.  They are always scams.

They called me on a pre-paid cell phone that my wife had only used as a contact number when she applied for online loans. When they called I inquired who they were and what they wanted. They told me my wife's Social Security # and that they were prosecuting a criminal case against her and wanted me to wire money to them to stop the case from proceeding. I pushed and inquired who they were representing...they responded "The Federal Governement" I asked which branch and what was the name of their Agent or Liason..they replied "The Federal Government" I asked which branch they asked "What do you mean?" I said which Agency? He responded "the Governement" I asked CIA,FBI,DOD,NSA? He replied CIA,I requested their address and his name and he got defensive "I don't have to tell you that unless you give me Amanda's Information" I promptly told him he works for a fraudulent company and told him I was going to inform the CIa he was maquerading as their representative. THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. HANG UP AND CALL THE AUTHORITIES.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:

?Notify your banking institutions.
?Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
?Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
?File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.

We have been bombarded, non stop, with calls from this freaks!!! They have cussed me out and called me names to no end!! They are looking for one of our co-workers and we have told them that he no longer works with us because of their harassing phone calls; but that doesn't seems to be accepted by them. We have called the police and the Attorney General and they say they can't do anything!!!
I don't know what to do at this point! They asked for the owner and we put the owner on the phone. He told them not to call our office anymore; but they continue to call. I think they have us on a re-dial..!!!

I'm sooo tired of this!!!!!

This # started calling my husband at work and on his cell phone today. The caller, who had a very thick Hindu accent, going by the name Carl Miller (which in a way, was comical, given that I have never known anyone with a hindu accent with a last name of Miller) identified his company as the Department of Crime and Justice. He told my husband that he owed $2000.00 from an internet loan. My husband and I had looked into some internet loans about a month back, however, never accepted any.My husband was told that if he didn't pay it or show up to court with a public defender, he would be arrested and spend 160 days in jail. At that point I called to try and get some information about this so called loan that was taken out and never paid back. For $500.00 "Mr. Miller" said he would release the details. Once I figured out this was a scam, I called my local police department, state police department and the police department from the county these calls were coming from. I also called the Attorney Generals Office. They all told me this was I scam ( info I had already figured out, which is why I was calling them) and gave me a song and dance that there was nothing they could do about it. I even asked if they could call the # and was told no. So, I have called "Mr. Miller "back, told him that I knew it was a scam, who I had called and for him to not bother my husband again. At that point he became very rude and even threatening. I am going to file an official poloce report and see what I can do to stop the harrassing phone calls. I have also put a freeze on my bank account and contacted the 3 main credti report agencies to red flag any activity in my husbands name. If anyone has any further suggestions or input on these people, I would really appreciate it.

This is a scam.  I only use Google Voice for spam offers when looking on the internet and low and behold, this number came up in my Google Voice.  I know it came from internet offers so if you look up anything or sign-up for anything requiring a phone number, this is where it came from.  My advice, sign-up for the Google Voice and hand out THAT number for junk or to bill collectors if you have that problem.  You can screen the calls from the comfort of your email and even BLOCK.
