All of your ideas are already used. Do you think that most people are dumb or what? I'm sure most of us have figured it out. What a pain to have to look at Caller ID before I answer the phone. Waste of my time.

How do I get these people or machines to quit calling me? Would it help if I contacted the BBB? Most of the time, I don't answer the phone and they still keep it up. It's sickening.

They tell me there are also from the Fraternal Order of Police. I told them I did not have any money to donate and they still call back.

They have called twice today; I did not answer and never will. I want them to take my name and number off their call list.

THESE JERKS CALLED TODAY AT 7:48AM!  THEY WOKE UP THE ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD. MY MOM IS SICK  AND MY HUSBAND WORKS NIGHT SHIFT SO WE ALL GOT TO HEAR THE CALL. I ANSWERED IT AND THERE WAS NO ONE THERE. I CALLED IT BACK RIGHT AWAY AND IT SAID IT WAS FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE. IT IS NOT. I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER THE RECORDING GAVE ME AND TOLD THEM TO REMOVE MY NUMBER AND TOLD THE MAN NEVER TO CALL US AGAIN. WE ARE ALSO ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. WHY WOULD YOU HANG UP ON SOMEONE IF YOU WERE TRYING TO GET A DONATION? THIS IS A BOGUS COMPANY AND THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED...........

I just got a call from this number and they asked for my mom, and I asked them, "Who's calling?" and then the guy was (he sounded african-american. he had that deep voice), "Are you over 18?" and I was like, "No" (which I am) and he's like, "Okay. Thank you." and just hanged up. Jerk.

Police Donation Scam

I have had at least 4 calls from this number this month. All three days apart.  No message is ever left on answering machine.  I think they are from what we usd to call a "boiler room," which was a hired group which made phone calls for whoever paid them.  "Fraternal Order of Police"  probably hires one of these to do their soliciting.

I received this call asking for my mom, and I told him that she's not home. He also asked for my dad and I told him that he's not home either. Then he asked me if I was over 18 and I said "no". I am over 18 and I dont want to deal anything with them

Get an answering machine, screen your call's and don't answer those you do not know..........

I recieved the same call yesterday, from Jason and he said the same (fop ) and I said take our name off thier list and hung up .I get these calls at least once a year. It must be for thier dues. Lil D

I just got called now, and the guy said he was with the "Fraternal Order of police".

They have called 3 times today beginning at 8:22 this morning.

I' have been getting phoen calls from this number and it goes to my voicemail.  When I check it it's just backgorund noise.  This is getting very annoying.

Some male voice called and said something that sounded like " Just this in ??? real quick... ?background noise? ... then hung up. I get called by this number occasionally and this was the first time anyone left anything that resembles a message. The caller ID showed "Unknown Name".

Remember, you may be on a DO NOT CALL list, but that does NOT include charities as cold calling is 30% of the donations they receive. When you get a call from an unknown or 800 number, the first question you should ask is: are you a charity? If you're interested, listen - if not get the name of the agency, phone number, address, and name of the person (sure...yeah, that will happen) if you can then say, "Please do not call back." Then send a CERTIFIED letter regarding your phone call on month/day/year/time with whoever that you asked to be removed from the calling list. Make sure someone has to sign for the certified letter.

I got the same calls from this number and when I called the number got the same message as original post.  They never left any message on my answering machine but called day after day.

When I answered, the guy asked for my husband.  I said I was his wife and asked if I could take a message.  He said he'd call back when my husband was home and I told him we are a "Do not call" list and that my husband wouldn't talk to him if they DO call back.  He mumbled, "yeah, un huh".  I mumbled the same thing back to him and he mumbled it again.  I hung and dialed *69 because my caller ID said "unavailable".  They gave me this number, 602-218-8432.  I got a recording when I called it and it said it was "The American Foundation for Children With Aids".  
The guy who called me might've gotten a better reply from me if he had told me that to begin with.
