I get the same call as Arizona pal.  The call comes about every other day just about the time I fall asleep.

I received two calls: 31 Oct 13:10 and 1 Nov 15:25 (abandoned when answered) both reported to FTC. Calling the number connects to a voice mailbox for Arizona PAL. The mailbox is full.

Arizona PAL is *NOT* the Phoenix Police Department's Police Activities League (PAL). This program was started by the Phoenix Police and turned over to the City of Phoenix Parks, Recreation and Library Department in 1994. When funding ran out, the PAL program was discontinued.

I rec'vd a call today (11/2/07 @ 1:59 pm) from 602-25-2994, but was unable to answer and they hung up when a.m. came on. Called the number back and rec'vd AZ PAL mailbox full. Did a reverse look-up and it says the number is a residental Qwest landline. I went back and checked my caller ID and realized they also called on 10/12/07 @ 2:56pm. Now that I am thinking about it I have rec'vd more calls in the past and have talked to someone and told them I was not interested. I am on the national no call list and this is getting frustrating. I will be filing a complaint with any one who will listen. Thanks for the links above!!!

how can we get this person to stop calling, i am also on the do not call list, is there not something we can do so this character is not able to call????

This call keeps coming in as "Sales Call".  I know it's a fraud, because last month is was something else.

I got a call from 602-254-2994 last night around 6pm. My a.m. picked up and no message was left. When I got to work this morning, the same number was on my missed calls in my office - again, no message.

I have receive calls from this number.When we answer the phone there is no response. They seem to call around 8 pm.

We received a call from 602-254-2994, and when I answered no one responded. When I tried to call back a recording said mailbox is full or the line is busy. My wife has received a few calls recently that just hung up also. I know that pre fix (254) is also around the 24th St. and University area because I call a number with that pre fix.

Caller ID just said "Arizona"  I just ignored it and as soon as they heard the message machine they hung up.

The Arizona Police Athletic Leaque is a Telemarketer Scam and is also
now using a Second Telephone Number of 480-273-8836 as well! Donot fall
for this scam operation. The 480 Prefix is located in the East Valley
Area of Phoenix/Scottsdale and Tempe. Please report to your local police
department as well. The have this number blocked on caller id as to their
name but this scam has been around for years,so do not fall for it.
Iam on the National Do Not Call Registry and have an unlisted number.

I too received a call from someone claiming to be solicting donations for the Arizona PAL. I agreed and received litature, a bumper sticker and my donation form. The person I spoke to was rude and threaten me with dire consequences if I didn't send my donation in quickly. (A-Hole) The phone number I got was an 800-274-7804. I called and got a recording stating this is an invalid number. Imagine that.

I received a call from this company and could barely understand the guy.  He sounded like he had marbles in his mouth.  He went on about the Arizona Police League and helping at-risk youth.  He asked if I would make a donation.  I said to send me info and I would check it out before donating.  He pressed me to commit to a dollar amount.  I said I'd have to verify their info before committing to anything.  

Today, I received their letter and a brochure.  The info was as vague as their call.  They listed a toll-free number in their letter (800-274-7804) that was non-workng.  They say they send kids to Camp Courage, which turns out to be a kids' camp for burn victims, not at-risk youth.  And they say they send kids to the Junior Police Academy, but I can't find one in Arizona.  Plus, they have an unsatisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau.  They have no website and are not affiliated with the National PAL organization.  They seemed to be way too shady for me.  I kindly declined their request for a donation.

I got the call from 520-623-8002 claiming to be "Arizona PAL" (in Tucson) and the very demanding person (male) started to tell me off when I "put this number on your do not call list"...to which he answered "I'll do better than that, I'll put you on my call everyday list".

A few internet searches I come up with John Basteen, a few more and I have his home number (after all they are bothering me at home). I talk to his (very nice) wife who explains the fact that the actual "Arizona PAL" DOES NOT DO ANY SOLICITATIONS...the caller is saying Arizona PAL. She explained they have have many problems with Navajo PAL or another PAL that hires commissioned telemarketers saying "Arizona PAL". She encouraged my to report this to the police if any donation was made and to the National PAL in Florida.

got a call from 520-623-8002 which is in Tucson....the phone number is listed as being on S. Scott as a business...filed a complaint with everybody possible against Az. PAL....called back full message box...

This jerkwad is back again. Just let it go to voicemail. He eventually quits.

I was called this morning by 520-623-8002, but they hung up before I could answer.  When I tried calling back to see who it was, it turned out to be Arizona PAL, according to their message.

I received this call on a 2nd landline I just had installed, and the do-not-call directive may not yet be in effect.  Checking my records of annoying calls I have received, I have not made note of them.  I do seem to recall speaking directly to them and I think instead of noting the do-not-call list, I was intimidated by the police-association that I heard?    I will have to be more forceful in the future, but if they are in violation of DNC, then I would want to know that, since I have received calls on my already-long-established DNC number.

Keeps calling - never says anything, and hangs up. When I call back, I get a voice mail for AZ PAL and it?s always full and does not accept new messages.

this guy called me too, and threatened me too. he got ugly and id like to get more info on these people

Have had about 4 or 5 calls from 520-623-8002 - nobody on the line, and calling back says mail box is full. If this is a financial scam of some sort, don't see what the deal is if they don't speak. Anybody got any ideas? Looks like this has been going on for awhile. Annoying, but I don't see how it's dangerous.

I DIDNT RECONIZE THE NUMBER WHEN THEY CALLED SO I DID NOT ANSWER, FROM ALL THE THINGS I AM READING HERE, I AM GLAD I DIDNT ANSWER.  I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL REGISTRY AND WILL FILE A COMPLAINT

I got a call from 602-254-2994 this afternoon - the woman said she was with PALS and wanted to know if they could send me information and if I would make a donation.  I told her my number was unlisted, and that I was on the do not call registry.  She said that did not apply to them because they weren't selling anything.  I told her I was not interested and to remove my number from their list.

We just got a call from them.  Caller ID said "sales call" (as if that would make us answer...?).  My husband answered very gruffly and they hung up.

When I answer they hang up.

After not picking it up on many occasions, I answered it to ask them not to call back.  No one replied.  They never leave a message.  We will not
answer a call anymore unless there is a company's/individual's name and number on the Caller ID.
