They came out under the guise of an annual check up of my at and heat and tried to convince us that our plumbing was soon to be a disaster. Then weeks later they ried to sell as security system. Damn they call my work, my cell and are just another annoying hard sell nuisance.

I have been a Realtor for over 12 years and have never sold a phone number. I hope this is not the case. It may be from purchasing a home warranty or some appliance. It is soooo annoying to be harassed like this.  Its Orangutan Home Services a division of Home Depot.  Definitely this came from Home Depot  in my case. Good luck.

I also just got a call again.  They did come out a couple of yrs ago and told me I had to pay a extra hundred dollars to put in new air handlers in the attic.  Their bill if I choose to hire them would have been around 20,000.00 for two units.......WOW.  SRP our electric company gave me the name of Air Command to check my 2 air conditioning units......cost me talk about disaster...The owner is either stupid, lazy, or incompetent...wait it is ALL THE ABOVE!  Shame on the companies we trust to give us such bad companies.

Do not EVER sign up for a free AC service at the Home Depot.  The calls you will get from American Home Maintenance will continue for years later, even after you tell them to stop calling.

Just got a call from these retards - let it go to voicemail, but they didn't leave a message. My service agreement with them ran out a few months ago, (part of the Home Depot purchase install). On their very last visit, a manager type came to inspect the 2 year old A/C unit and found something minor wrong with an electrical part - which he said was still within tolerance but could go at anytime. He pressured me to replace the part and every time I showed reluctance he changed his sales pitch. It went from free replacement for parts, just pay minimum labor charge, then to free parts and labor if I purchase a new service agreement on the spot, then a one-time offer of an extra year on the service agreement for just $100, (if I remember correctly the service agreement would have cost me approximately $600 for 5 years). I told him to get lost! How many poor souls fall for this crap?

Yes, it is a scam.
I made the mistake of signing up with them through Home Depot.
As sure as they see gray hair, they come up with at least $500 worth of problems that no one else can find. They try to frighten  you into signing a service contract which then has them calling you day and night, to "check your system" so they can try to sell you more parts or a new unit.
See all the complaints against them at the Better Business Bureau, including unauthorized charges once they have your credit card number.
They have changed their name now to "Orangutan".

I got my AC from Home Depot and American Home Maintenance installed it.  I'd get a call from them every other day to sell me something else, I finally told them to stop calling or come take the AC back.  This was in April, hadn't heard from them until now, but now message and they don't answer if you call back.

Yes, Home Depot is the culprit.  I encountered the American Home Maintenance AC inspectors there (they were offering a free inspection) and have been getting calls from them ever since.

So beware their 'free ADT' security offer...  it will end up costing you $5-$600 plus.

I had Home Depot install an AC unit for me... cant say the experience was a good one.

This is American Home Maintenance sales call.  I have an agreement with them and they won't quit marketing other products i.e. ADT home security.  They also called today to get my summer check which we already had last week!!

This is American Home Maintenance.  A guy came by last year (April of 2009) to perform a maintenance check up that was pre-arranged with our utility company for $59.95.

He used this as a bait and switch opportunity by going up to our roof and cutting a hole into the side of my AC unit.

Bottom line - run away.

I have my air condition service thru these people and i get calls when my service is due and normally i never answer it and they keep calling and the reason i don't answer is cause i don't know its them. Now for me its a good thing that they do call but at least leave a message.

Receive numerous call throughout the day from this #, but no one is ever on the other line. When I let it go to voicemail, they just hang up without leaving a message.

Ok enough is enough I wish I never signed with these people, I get no less than 5 calls a week. Each time they have come out to my house it's no less than $300.00 even if nothing is wrong they claim this or that is bad and will soon cause even more problems. I am begining to wonder if this is a scam or what?

Yes..it's American Home Maintenance.  We are customers of theirs and I just got a call and didn't recognize the number so I called back.  They are actually really good if your AC/Heat or Plumbing goes bad but when I answered the phone..there was no one there and then an automated thing came on..which is frustrating.  Anyway..just thought I would add a bit of light on this mystery numbers.

They just called me and left no message. I think they got my number from my realtor. I just bought a house and have had at least 5 sales calls per day. I have stopped answering my phone. I did find out that realtors sell your phone number. Isn't that nice! I just put all my phone numbers, cell & landline, on the national "do not call" registry, but it takes 90 days. I'll try to keep my sanity until then.

they do work on AC/furnace, they got my number through Home Depot

These people HAVE TO QUIT CALLING.
They've called me four times and leave a half cut-off automated voice mail message. This is harassment.
