Contacted the Buffalo News

I apologize for this issue. We are aware of calls coming from this
number. A message has been sent to this company to correct this problem
immediately. We again apologize for this problem.

I have been getting calls form this number as well as another number.  If I don't know who it is I don't answer.  I had my cell phone provider block a different number yesterday and here they are again calling.  A few months back I was receiving calls that kept asking for the last 4 #'s of my SSN.  I refused and they got hostile.  So I got hostile back demanding they tell me what they had.  They got even more angry and hung up on me!  I don't think they are telemarkets, they are scam artists trying to get your personal info.  Be very careful!

I just got a call from this number and they also called yesterday.  I discontinued the Buffalo News home delivery.  They are probably trying to get ahold of me to get the service again.  Don't understand why the calls would be coming from Arizona.

They have been calling for the last 2 wks, I finally answered, say they are for the "Bakersfield Californian" and can give me a great deal, but why would an out of state be trying to sell me the local paper?

Yeah....have had this phone for 2 weeks and this number calls ALL THE TIME.  You've got to be kidding me!  I didn't answer, but have read what others wrote.  If anyone does know how to get on the "do not call" list, please post that.  Thanks.

great first this number was for ADT,now its coming up Newspaper.if i want a newspaper i call for 1

Just got called from this number, ignored it. What I want to know it, why do I still get these calls when I am registered on the Do Not Call list, and is there a way to report them to some "authority"?

The same number has been calling me for the past two weeks. I keep ignoring it and no messages are left.

Brenda, they CLAIM to be from the Buffalo News.  I just received TWO calls from them and the person that I spoke to is a real dumbass.  We jsut moved to Hamburg, NY, so I have the feeling that this is a scam.  Why would I go out of state for the Buffalo News, when I can just contact the paper locally?  He apprently doesn't understand English either, considering I asked him and he said "I think so".  Hopefully, my smart mouth got us off the list.  We've only had this new number for almost two weeks and he said that they were trying to call us for TWELVE YEARS!!  We just moved in two weeks ago and I made sure that he knew that.

Oh my god!  These idiots just don't stop!  We JUST moved into our new place almost two weeks ago.  New phone number and everything!  The jerk said that they were trying to call us for TWELVE YEARS!!  I said that's BS, considering we just basically moved in and got the NEW phone number.  He then goes, well, your neighbors then.  Really?  He said he was from the Buffalo News, and I don't buy that, considering the call comes from ARIZONA!!  We just moved to Hamburg, NY!  Why would we...if we even WANTED the Buffalo News...why would we go OUT OF STATE for it?  They are nothing but scammers!  I told him to quit calling here and that we didn't want any.  He asked if we wanted the paper after that!  I said no..as in N.O. and asked him if he understood English.  What was his response?  "I think so".  Oh my god!!  I replied, "You think so?".  He FINALLY got the idea to quit calling here, but lord!  What a stupid idiot!
