Watch out for this number..... This is a scam. Posted my car on auto trader and rec'd an offer to purchase via pal-pal.  e-mail address is ghettovero014@hotmail.com.  I searched the address and confirmed it's a scam. Beware!

First,  Vero Houde, the marine biologist at sea on her ship tried to scam me with the same emails as above. Then her "brother", Troy Goulet, the marine engineer, also on a ship tried with this email (I couldn't resist replying and asking if he was Vero's brother and if they were on the same ship...He never replied):

I have a pick up agent that will come and pick the car up after i have made the payments.

I got a couple of emails from those scammers, and I am so tired of this kind of BS because I really want to sell my car to a sincere person.
I am wondering if the police can do something to stop them.

Those A*holes have nothing to do but trying to take away people's hard-earning money with their stupid lies!

The scammers emails I came across: micheal cowell <micheal.cowell2010@gmail.com>, derek cameron <derekcameron2007@hotmail.com>, Tiffany Webb <jn_pickup@hotmail.com>, ghettovero012@hotmail.com

The scheme is following:
They pretend to buy the car (any other item). They cannot pick it up themselvers, because they are far away/oversea/on the sea. They have to use Paypal. They pretend they have a pick up agent or shipping arrangement. They will initiate the payment - asking price + shipping fee. Then they ask the seller to forward the shipping fee to the supposed pick up agent or shipping company. Meanwhile they block the credit card so their payment does not go through, but the seller is asked to send the shipping fee anyway. That's all. The seller still have the car, but he is short of the shipping fee.


I managed to get one IP of the scammer. It is someone from Nigeria, most likely Lagos, connecting through provider MTN Nigeria.

Two similar emails from two different creeps with the same MO today. One Vero Houde and the other a CameronMatt2007@hotmail.com. Hmmm the mysterious ghetto biologist who is at sea who will have his "agent" pick up the vehicle after he's paid through PayPal...Scammy scammer alert !

I received an email from this same indiv. claiming to be a biologist. I was very concerned so I searched the contact information given by this person, and came upon this forum. The person goes by the name Vero Houde. and i would suggest others to stay clear of this person. here is the email he sent me.....

I'm getting suspicious calls from this person.  He is suposedly interested in buying my car.  It looks real strange.  He is claiming he is a biologist and wants to buy my car unseen through Paypal?  Anyway, I dismissed it for obvious resons.
