this number has called saying i won a prize for doing an air quality survey (which I vaguely remember) then that i have won a prize from a draw.  foolishly gave some information, when I called back to check got only a message and voicemail for general delivery box.  I do not get a good feeling--beware.

They are trying to get you to buy a filter queen vacuum, hence the 'air quality'

4002They are rude and pushy and I have just told them repeatedly to not keep on calling here and that I looked up their number and found out they are selling vacuum cleaners in which they get really mad and hang up. They are looking for suckers to make big commissions off.
Why do they have to offer you free stuff? To get you in your door so they can swindle you. If they were truly amazing vacuum cleaners they would not have to do doing this to sell them. I have friends who did let the salesperson come to their house and was their for 5 hours and did they whole I'll knock the price down for you...I just talked to my price, they price is going to go up, there's no reading material I can give you and documented research and places you can go to confirm the "facts." I can not believe these guys!!!  They tried the same thing in Quesnel,  I was answering an ad for an Office Assistant.  What a Joke!!!  Here I thought I was finally going to get a job and it wasn't until the second day talking with my girlfriend about this and she said it sounds like the same thing she went through. And it was a vacum cleaner salesperson.  So I was driving to Williams Lake and my car was breaking down trying to do training for this job and here it was a BIG SCAM!!  They said I'd make $14.02 an hour.  That was never mentioned!!!  Just go door to door!!  Anyways we're reporting them to Better Business And Quesnel CRIMESTOPPERS!!

They called me to saying they are coming here tonight that I had won a hotel stay not sure how to contact them to get them not to come?

Yes! I got a phone call last night, same thing, stating that they were going to show this morning for a small presentation of their "green" product. They didn't show up...what are they after? The only info I gave them was my home address?

In response to the air quality phone call...
Just had one myself...some guy named Rob phoned...and asked the odd questions...his number had come up as Long distance Private caller...I went to google right away to look up the organization on line...
Couldn't find anything from Campus Tech besides this site (800 Notes) where according to what I've read it looks like the identical call made to another person was also made to my home...
I will be aware of and waiting for any further follow-ups, sales pitches, scams etc.  Thanks for the information...this kind BS really angers me...

I'm the one the you put the re: to on craigslist. It is a real company but I wouldnt call them that, there Vacuum sales man, that make it sound like someone won a great prize wich isn't true, the vacations is a coupon, so its not totally free. The do this just so they can come to your home and try and make you bye a Vac.
But what happend with me is that his job Ad says office assistant, filing, simple day to day tasks blah blah, But I was chocked after the second day of being there and relizing they wanted me to read a scriped and pretty much lie to people, but thats the thing, they didnt say much about the gifts, I figured it out, I'm not stupid.
I'm sure you could agree that when they called you, you would refer that to being Telemarketing... and that was not the job I thought I applied for. To top it off the guy talks to people like there nothing, heard him screaming and swearing at the girl that was there a year.

I hung up. Ph'd back again asked her Co. name - Campus Technology - said
"she's interviewing someone right now, and then said oh she has gone, transferred me again to the beep beep beep and I hung up. Something wrong
here, thought so when I read the employment ad - to good to be true and then
further checked out the phone no. and Co. name on Google and it reconfirmed
my suspicions

I received a call from this number a couple of weeks ago stating they were conducting a survey on in home air quality. The questions were strange, but not of any consequence (Does anybody in the home smoke etc.) They didn't ask for any personal information other than my first name so I didn't think much of it.

Today I received a follow up call stating that I had won either a smokeless grill or a trip to Kelowna for a couple of nights but I had to get myself there. My antennae were up... but I just said to give me the grill, and they said they would deliver it at 530 this evening. Afterwards I did a little digging online, and I can't find a single thing indicating that "Campus Tech" is an actual legitimate company. Lots of suspicious job ads on Monster.ca, craisglist and such though that I found through a phone number google search. These ads don't even identify the company and just say to call "Ryan" at this number.

So I phoned them back and told "Allen" that I couldn't find anything to suggest they were legitimate, and requested they keep their grill, remove me from their contact list and never call me again. The response was not what I would expect from a 'real' company... "We are a real company, man, we're pretty big". He said their manufacturer was a company called "Filter Queen" and told me to look them up. I said I wasn't going to bother, he replied by saying "Fine, we'll remove you" and hanging up.

There is something not right about these guys. There is also another thread on here from the phone number 604-287-4008. Obviously these guys have a few 4000 series numbers.
