If you have nothing to hide then it should not be a problem to give the person you are calling your name. If a collection agent is calling you then there is likely a very good reason. And regardless of whether or not you believe you owe any money, in our experience, we have found that "debtors" play this game a lot. Furthermore, if you are calling a collection agency and being evaisive, then 9 times out of 10 your going to peek suspicion. In the future when you receive telephone calls like this try and be a bit more co-operative and understanding. Like you said you don't owe any money so why are you so worried?! If you have someone asking for your personal info like Social Insurance Number, Date of Birth, Credit Card Info ect., then I don't suggest you give it to them. Use your common sense if you have any. Everyone has a job to do. And Collectors will get the job done no matter what. Furthermore, most collection agencies monitor who publishes there numbers without permission, it might be a good idea to try and be more carefull where you slander. And lastly learn how to spell, it makes you look far more intelligant when ranting about unwanted collection calls.

What I find interesting is that this person who has "no late/default debts", is getting calls from two seperate debt collection companies.

604-718-5149 & 1-888-944-4425 are not the same company.

Seems awfully coincidental to me that this person who has no "late/default debts" would be getting calls from more than one collection agency.

If "also" was the only word you understood in that entire statement enough to point out it was spelled wrong, may I suggest that you obtain an education. I'm sure a couple of local esl courses might do you some good. Good Luck! :)

Debt Collector you obviously are a racist a**hole and should get a real job. Why would you tell someone to go get ESL classes. A comment like that is  really presumptious and only shows that you are a moron. If you had any education yourself you would be able to obtain a real job that didn't invovle calling and harassing people all day, no one that had an education would take a job like that.

I run into this attack many times while making calls.
"Why don't you get a real job instead of harassing people all day"
You are trying to paint a negative picture about a person who is calling another person
who believes it is OK to literally steal from companies.
These companies provide a product or service which has gone unpaid.
Now let me ask you, who is in the wrong?
As for having an education, not anyone can succeed in calling people to remind them of their adult responsibilities. However the people that do succeed make an impressive income which rival many careers where people have degrees.

Got a call from this number twice, which I missed.  After the second call, I call back and ask the lady which company is calling on behalf of.  She refused to disclose this info and asked me for my name instead.  I refused as well, and she told me I don't need to call them if I am not telling them my name.  Well, the opposite is true too, I said and hanged up.  Two minutes later I got a call from a blocked number (I didn't block my own number when I call them) but I didn't pick up.  On the same day, a number with id 888-944-4425 also called and it's known from google searches that this number relates to a debt collection company.  Of course i have no late/default debts.
