You can't blame the credit cards companies (banks) and complain to them. These scammers who are calling have no information on you other then our phone numbe and their prime targets are seniors where they hope to scare/con them into providing them all their personal/credit card info.  I would recomend complaining to your phone provider or contact the CRTC (see link below) and open a complaint with them. I can only speak for myself but calls stopped after 30 days. Hope this helps and good luck!         http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/info_sht/t12.htm

they call, but they are spoofing the number. The number displayed is created by a computer. That's why they don't care about the do not call list. You have no way to find out their real number, and the service they provide is a TOTAL SCAM. Give them your credit cards numbers and they'll protect you. Yeah, right.

This is one a few numbers that come through that say 'final' or 'last' call to lower your credit card - I block them but other numbers come through. I actually waited online to have it connected to an actual male person & advised them to remove my number from their list - I was 'hung up' on. Nice!

This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers.  The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.

If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.

If you have a Panasonic cordless phone, you can block up to 30 numbers at a time.  Press "Menu", #, 2, 1, 7, Add, and enter the number without the dashes, then the Enter key (middle of the four arrow keys).

Answered call, said this is important call about your credit card debt.  I don't have any credit card debt so probably some kind of scam.  I just hung up and saved number into address book listed as "scam" so when they call again I know to ignore.

That might work well with some telemarketers, but not with the card service drug addicts, who get money for their habits by ripping off the decent people of society. It's unlikely most of them, in their impaired state, would even recognize who Jesus is. If they weren't such a group of lowlife pests, we could have pity on them sitting there in their lines of phonebanks, sweating profusely, and shaking uncontrollably, as they try to rip us off to pay for their next fix. What a disgusting lot of creatures, as their main targets are the elderly, who in many cases are the ones least able to afford to be cheated!

Just received a call from this number and was insulted by the guy when I told him I have already told them to take me off the list he then said to me I was dealing with the wrong N**** and why do I keep answering the moth******ing phone. Well If they actually used a number that displayed who they were I would not answer. Yet it is perfectly fine for him to verbally assault me. There should be a way to permanently get rid of these types of calls and charge them for the assaults and insults. sorry for the language but this was a direct quote from him.

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an effort to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have been fooled by these lowlifes have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these slimy creatures, and warn others before they are cheated!

I have been getting a call from this number also. Sometimes when I answer, it hangs up. Other times there is a recording to lower my interest rate. Today I finally got so fed up that I waited until I spoke to an operator. I asked him if he could remove me from there list and he said it would cost me $100. I said no way, then he said it would cost me $200 tomorrow. I told him where to go, obviously. I couldn't believe the nerve! I sure hope there aren't people falling for this scam. I wish I knew how to block them from calling me.

We receive the same call at least 5 times a week in our office, and of course when you try and call back it says this number is NOT ASSIGNED.
The phone companies are quite ho**y to do everything that they can to bill you for everything that they can think of,however try and get help to have IDIOTS like this nailed is like trying to win the lotto.

Received a call from this number, male caller, very obnoxious after I told him my number was on no call list, he said so what, I told him that I had negotiated the lower credit card rate myself and he insisted he could do better. Refused to give any details unless I told him what cards I have.  He then said he would call daily until I accepted his help. It would seem that the phone companies will do nothing to stop this, I guess that PROFIT is more important than customer service, which by the way is unknown in the telephone business. Its pay your bill, shut up and don't bother us as it might disrupt the big buck wages for the decision makers which you cannot contact.

Ditto... as soon as you challenge them, they hang up - they phoned me twice - first time I asked them what credit card company they represented and second time, I just asked for their phone number... hang up.

Ensure everyone you know knows about these calls, especially youth and seniors who are more vulnerable.  Post it on all your social media sites and let's put these creeps in the light!

i've received a call every day this week from 604 area code and always related to credit card lower interest rates. I guess I should buy some stock in phone companies as selling numbers to these bandits is a good way of making money. Next to Senate expenses, this type of telemarketing is our nation's greatest challenge
