This is a TOTAL Scam. Do NOT call these people back or give them any of your information. They are simply trying to trick people or scare people into giving up personal information or bank information to STEAL from you. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. This law office has n F rating with the BBB.

These people call 3 times a day demanding I pay for a bill I don't owe.  They won't tell me who it is I owe, or what it is all about.  They also send me letters in the mail.  There is no bill on my credit report that shows I owe anyone.  I needhelp with these jerks.  Please help me.

I received a call from an employee at the law office of Richard Clark, asking for someone I do not know.  I told her she had the wrong number.  She then began yelling at me, saying she did not have the wrong number, that she had just spoke to this person at this number last week.  She asked if I knew this person, over and over, and each time I told her no.  She then asked if I had just got this phone number and I told her it had been my number for 30 years.  She would not accept the fact that she had dialed the wrong number, a mistake anyone can make.  I'm sure she has now realised and called the correct number.  I called the office to report her, but of course this can not be done.  They did make note of my phone number.  I told them to never call me again.  If I receive a call from them I will report it.

I got a voice message at home 11/6/2012 from Law office of Richard Clark. 866-854-2770  A woman (could not understand her name) said she was looking for someone by the name of Glen Brown and asked "If you know this person, please have him call me as soon as possible at extension 2236".

They just called my cell phone number (Our cell phones come from another state, we moved and kept the same number). I did not answer, they did not leave a message. We have gotten calls for the person who I believe "owned" the phone number before us...I've had this phone and number for 6 years now, lol. I even called 1 company back and told them I was not who they were looking for and if they googled my number my name would come up,lol.

Folks like these are scumbags. Don't give them the time of day.

These people are harrassing and theives.

This collection department uses bullying tactics, they are very unprofessional. Payments have to be made within 24 hrs or else they won't deal come on isn't that a bit over dramatic? I had to drive over 100 miles to find a Western Union to comply with their bullying tactics. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

A lady named ''Tammi'' called our bussiness phone number asking for the owner and for some reason they knew names. They said that they were from the law office of ''Richard Clark'' and that he was an attourney. We do not know why they would call, we pay all of our bills and there would be no reason for them calling. I hope that this helps and you catch who ever is scamming!

Thats sounds simple!!Most will if they can. Also, most and definitely this one runs up massive fees. So not really helping their cause. I've offered to pay what I borrowed not what they want. But, I do appreciate the thought put into the whole "Lawyer" approach

My elderly mother in Alabama got a from this number stating they were a law firm  wanting me to call them with information on my ex's mother, (ex Mother n law) She is 90 years old. Why would they be chasing me down to get to her, I dont even know them anymore. WEIRD!!!

I worked @ the LORC for awhile, & it was made evident to me that the "Powers That Be", I.e. Richard Clark & the person who actually OWNS the company, Jim Woolley, whom is not an atty of any kind, just uses Atty Richard Clark as a front, Don't want people working there who speak to "debtors" in a kind manner...they just want people who will bully people into paying them, the motto in this office is "Mad, Upset & Scared people pay!"...ask for a VOD & they will get upset & most of the time never bother to send & if your debt is under $1,000, they won't do anything to you....For the people that live in PA, no agency can call more than once a wk on a single # in ur state...If I were yall, just get a P.O. Box in Mass, Nevada, Colorado, Arkansas, North Dakota or any other no call state...They WILL NOT CALL any area codes in these states either...

Also, the way they get all the information about u & your family is thru LexisNexis.com(bkground checks are free) & 411.com...it usually takes only 5-10 minutes for ANYONE to get the info they get

I received a phone call from the management company who I rent my apartment from.  Evidently someone from the 866-854-2770 called one of my neighbors and asked the neighbor to give me the phone number and asked me to call them.  My neighbor felt very uncomfortable about this and contacted our apartment management.  What on earth?

Received a voice mail for my ex husband and they left this call back number 866-854-2770 X2214 and to ask for Maria. The name of the Company was Richard Clark's attorney's office. I did call back and let them know they had the wrong number.

above poster... philip d stern. is it truly illegal for the office to leave messages like the one you posted above? I have received messages just like the one above and not until I received a letter from them in the mail did I actually respond to their calls. once I responded to their calls and asked for a DV letter they got upset and demanded that I tell them why I wanted one.

This company called me about a legitimate debt incurred during my marriage.  Instructed them that a judgment had been rendered against my ex regarding the debt and that he was found fully liable for the account.  Clark insisted on taking me to court b/c of my refusal to pay the debt.  I agreed to fighting it out in court because I knew I had all of my records to show that I was not responsible for this debt.  On the court date, I presented the original loan documents which showed that I was not responsible for the debt, correspondence between myself and the loan company absolving me of responsibility for the debt, divorce agreement which my ex signed guaranteeing assumption of the debt, and judgment against my ex for his failure to repay the debt.  Wouldn't you know that Clark's cronies would try to insist that b/c I had KNOWLEDGE of the debt that I should be held equally responsible for it even though I never signed any paperwork on the account? The judge dismissed the case as frivolous and ordered that my credit report be expunged of this account and that Clark cease and desist all credit actions against me.  I was also awarded damages against their company for the months of phone calls and harrassing letters that I received which I had recorded and played in court as evidence of their tactics.  To date, I have only received half of the judgment amount from Clark's office and am prepared to return to court to foreclose against them if full payment is not rendered as ordered in court!

Got VM saying it was Maria from office of Attorney Richard Clark asking for my wife's ex-husband from more almost 20 years ago.  I decided to call number to say you are calling this number but no one by that name lives / has ever lived here.  When I dialed extension to leave message it goes back to attendant.  they obviously want you to have to speak to them in person.

They call me all the time.  They found my son's number from Corpus Christie and started asking him about me.  They are formally Streeter law Firm.  I have been to court with them.  The judge told me to get a good lawyer and come back. I put the number in my caller ID so I know when they call.  I don't return calls so they obviously started on anyone with my last name.

just gat a call from a Maria calling from (new name) Law Office of Richard Clark. They must of figuered a name change would throw us off track......didn't work. they will do anythig to try and find your family members. don't call them back!!!!!

This phone number was given to my husband to call back.  So, we went on the computer and found it was a law office, but did not know what they wanted. They refuse to give my husband the reason, and said that it was against Federal Law to give out that kind of info, even to the husband.

THIS PERSON FROM THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING HERE AND TRYING TO GET INFO FROM USA AND WHEN I ANSWER SOMETIMES THEY HANG UP SO I WON'T CALL THEM BACK ANYMORE, DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE TROUBLED WITH THEM DO YOU KNOW WHIO THEY REALLY ARE AND WHAT THEY WANT. PLEASE RESPLY THEY CALL OUR FAMILY IN NEW YORK AND OUR JOBS AND WE LIVE IN PA. CAN WE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CALL TO MAKE IT STOP

I also received several calls from this company but I had a very different experience than most of you when I finally decided to pick up the phone. The gentleman I dealt with was polite and helpful. He worked with me to find a reasonable solution to my debt(I did owe for an Aspire Visa). I am now paying $100.00 per month (automatic payments) until the debt is paid and have never had a problem since this started about a year ago. I'm about half way through the debt and look forward to the final payment. Unfortunately, I have dealt with a few debt collectors and honestly, this was one of the more comfortable experiences I've had with this difficult situation. Maybe I got lucky but it doesn't hurt to pick up the phone and try. You can always hang up if they get rude.

The strong-arm methods and tactics used by Richard Clark and his so-called litigation firm are worse than loan shark used to use.  IF you call them back (I would recommend that you DO NOT, under any circumstances), insist that they send WRITTEN information about the debt they are harrassing you over.  Have them send it to a PO Box, even if you rent one solely for that purpose.  Do not given them any information.  

If you speak to someone who identifies themself as an attorney, ask which states they are licensed in and get their state bar number.
