I've been told this is Beneficial/HSBC trying to collect on peoples debts of course the government bailed them out but they seem to forgot that when they are hounding people who are truely struggling with fianances!! If you are not the person they are trying to reach tell them you are reporting them to the Attorney General of your state and then do so...that will stop them in their tracks!!! Done that to a couple of these scum bags and the calls stopped!

They call and leave a 2 second voicemail with no message that sounds like call center - lots of voices in background. I have never had a Beneficial nor Household Finance account. Probably skip-tracing or phishing. I added them to a contact I call SPAM on my phone. I made the ring tone a second of silence so I'm not even bothered by them. They can call all day everyday for all I care. Probably a call center in a far-off foreign land. They do not honor our do-not-call list. We can't prosecute them, so just ignore them and enjoy your life.

They called and said you're on recorded line and then said they were trying to collect on a loan from 1995.  They had my name right and then wanted me to confirm my birthdate, address etc... I told him I wouldn't do it and he repeated we're on a recorded line?  It just sounded like a scam, so I hung up.

I just got a call from that number and it was a bill collector for my daughter.  Hope this helps.

I've received several calls from this phone #.  Called my cell and work phone but never leave a message.  Not going to answer!

I've gotten a couple calls from this number and similar ones, asking for "Troy."  Fortunately I am not Troy.

Keep getting calls.  No one leaves a message.  I refuse to answer.

I got a call from that number & answered it. The caller indicated she was from my credit card company, had the correct last 4 digits, and inquired about my late payment. I had no idea my payment was late.  She asked me to verify my account with my SS#, then I knew it was a scam so I hung up.

This call is coming from HSBC. I think it's a credit card or loan company. They will not leave their names and usually hang up when I answer. I called back to see who it was and they wouldn't even tell me who they were calling for!

funny how these places cried to the government got bailed out but have no compassion for those who are down and out...doesn't seem fair does it?? oh and how many people did they cut when they cried to government???? pretty sad...oh and they keep jacking late fees and this that and another on accounts until you NEVER CAN GET OUT OF DEBT WITH THEM...btw I did...but this is all the truth from others...

It is a mogarge company, Now they moved all the USA offices to Inda.
They bug me everyday also.

Receive calls from "Betsy" with this company numerous times a day.  They want information on an employee that isn't interested in their services.  It's harassment.  The supervisor was told the information they want will not be shared and his response was that the calls would not stop.  It's insane.  These people won't take NO for an answer and have no problems disturbing an entire company to get what they want.  Good luck getting rid of them!!

How much money did Beneficial take from the government bailout a couple of months ago?

HSBC, household finance and benefial are all one company. Household bought out beneficial. I got two calls several minutes apart, no message. I wasn't sure who it was, now that I know. If they call again I can't wait to give them a piece of my mind.

You have to be careful with these calls because it could be a scam.
People get hold of old accounts receivable reports from companies etc.
and they think they can collect money from you when your account is up to date.  This was happening with AT&T.  If I don't know the number, I don't answer.

Received two calls 5 minutes apart when I was not in the office.  They left no messages, but the system identified them as HSBC.  I have never had any dealings with HSBC.

Then I will have to send them a cease and desist letter certified mail so they WON'T and I mean WON'T call me at work anymore... so... y'know.....BEEEWARE!!  WOOOOOOOOOO!

IT IS BENEFICIAL FINANCE COLLECTORS TRYING TO CATCH DEBTORS WHO AREN'T PAYING THEIR LOAN.  THEY MIX UP THEIR NUMBERS CONSTANTLY AND WILL AND I MEAN WILL CALL YOU ON YOUR JOB.  IN ADDITION, THEY WILL HAVE YOU PAGED TO COME TO THE PHONE IF YOUR AT WORK....SO... BEWARE.

Get one call after another from this company and they never leave a message.  I think it is Beneficial and I have told them NEVER call me at work, but if I don't pick up the first time, they call right back or they dial out and have someone else in my office transfer the call to me.  I will report them to the FTC as it is against the law to harrase people at there place of work.

Well I am on a roll today. I just posted 3 phone numbers. I haven't been getting calls from this number for awhile but like 2 months ago, this number has called me about a total of 12 times and voicemail was left. I found out that it is from Kentucky. Why am I getting all of these calls from states that I have never even been to? I have never been to Kentucky, Florida, or New Jersey before. Well I was in New Jersey for only like about 2 hours at a rest stop in there on my New York City trip but still I don't know anyone basically outside of the states of New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and California and yet I am getting all of these calls from states that I don't even know of.

I was listed as a reference on an application and they tried calling for information (skip tracing).  At first she made it sound like she was going to sue me if I did not give up the information.  I told her to send me a subpoena and leave me alone.

A friend of mine got call a from this number and the person on the other end  claimed to be a Company  "Beneficiary" looking for some sort of reference. they were asking for information such as where I worked, and where I lived. The only traceable links between the two of us are e-mail and phone calls. I have never applied for anything and used him as a reference nor have the two of us ever worked any business projects together. I called the number and no one would answer.

It's extremely odd that these people would call a random friend of mine and ask for such information. I have no idea who they are or what they want.

this company, household finance keeps calling my cell number, i have told them numerous times that it belongs to me now, and not to a charles brown, but they continue to call anyway.

I am getting continuing calls all day long and who ever it is will not leave a message but keeps jumping numbers.  I am on the no call list but it has not been much help.
