Just received a call from this number, too. Really glad that other people report strange calls like this.

Several calls

Got a call from this number this morning. Hung up.

First call tonight from this number.   He stated he was from the Dane County Sheriff's office.  I cut him short, thinking he was asking for a contribution.

He sounded dejected replied "ok" and hung up.

I have gotten calls several times from this number. Never leaves a message. Never anyone there when I answer. When I call it back, it says "this person not available", like a phone company's generic message.

Caller calls frequently and I do not answer. I believe this caller is fishing and should be looked into. Seems to have a history of calling other people also.

11/17/10 Started asking if certain people lived here.  I hung up!

weird call - asked by name if this was our residence, i answered yes and he hung up

Never left a message, when I called back the number, I was automatically transferred to 411 (information), they said it's a cell phone number, it is not marketing, but didn't know why I was transfered to 411 and didn't get the person.

Whoever it is, I don't trust him/her.

Said he was from Dane County Sheriff's office wanting to inform me about helping underprivledged kids. I said I couldn't afford to contribute to anything. He got upset & said all he was doing was informing me, then hung up.

Fishing line; don't know who they are because >3 sec = hang up. Don't pick up or they'll know you are live.
