Got a scam call from is the other night.    Had a missed call so I called back, got a recording stating to press 1 to speak to someone.   I did this and got nothing on the line but silence.   So I tried again and a guy said hello?? I asked who he was and he said Adam.     I asked why he was calling and he said you put your number online regarding jobs...I laughed and said no I sure didn't.   He kinda argued with me and said you or someone did...and I said um no...this seems fishy to me and he hung up.     Why are these calls happening...what is the purpose?

They called my cell phone today.  I picked up and said "hello."  Nothing.  I repeated.  Then a woman said in a slurred voice: "hello... hello" and hung up.

Missed the call - didn't leave a message - probably a scam like others say - THANKS! will continue to avoid in future or maybe just play with the person on the other end

Same number didn't answer but called me three times in a row with no voicemail

Got this call today during business hours. A nuisance!

It's a scam. I answered on my business line and they said "hello, I'm calling about the survey you completed, yesterday." I said I hadn't completed one. "Well, someone at your house completed information that they needed work and I'm calling to lineup some jobs."

So, this person applied for work and you don't know their name?

The classic three-second delay, auto-dial system, also.

Received a missed call from this number on April 20th @ 5:37pm Eastern Time. No message.

I had a missed call on my phone from this number from last night - no voicemail.

Got the same number, but I didn't pick up as I didn't hear it and noticed that I had a missed call. Didn't leave a voice mail either.
