Political robocall received 4/4/14 3:21PM. Left voicemail: "When Scott Walker ran for governor, he promised to honor a referendum prohibiting expansion gambling in Wisconsin. Now he's under pressure by out of state interests to approve a massive new casino in Kenosha. Do you support a new casino in Kenosha? Push 1 for support, or 2 if you oppose a new casino."

Didn't answer when they called. Not sure who the number belongs to, because it said Wisconsin call.
Sick of it 2014-04-04 21:56:23 Unknown
They are putting their "non profit funds" to work by paying a robo company to bother people with unwanted telemarketing calls. Shame.

http://www.wifamilyaction.org/contact Here's their website. They have a contact email & address. Waste their time like they waste ours.

No message, just annoying.

I answered this call because I was expecting a call from someone in that area code. When they identified themselves as Wisconsin Family Action I assumed that they were wingnuts, probably religious, so this is what I said:
I'm sorry, but I'm leaving for an appointment. There are two other people in the household you could talk to. Would you prefer to speak to my husband* or our transgendered mistress?"
They hung up, and I blocked further calls from that number.
*My voice recognizably male, and I live alone. I said that just to mess with them.

none, no answer

Received a call; left no message. Using #69, called the number back & it said that the mailbox for Wisconsin Family Action is full. Looked them up on the internet - just some political lobbyist B.S. http://www.wifamilyaction.org/
And yes, they can call you even if you're on the DNC list because they are (supposedly) non-profit. Another reason is that they are political lobbyists.

Just called the WI Family Action number at 866-849-2536. A woman answered and i asked that my phone number be removed from their call list. She said "OK" and I her asked if she understood that I do not want to get anymore phone calls from her group. She said "Yes" and thanked me. We'll see if the calls stop. If not I'll continue to call them everytime they call me.

On the DNC list, advised them before and they disregard what you say, and break the law. DO NOT answer and save yourself from their spamming calls. They are spewing a read script and cannot answers questions directly, but resort back to their flip chart of answers.

These calls are being made by Wisconsin Family Action. No one ever answers at the office number. I have received 4 calls within 48 hours despite asking to be removed. You can call the directorJulaine Appling on her cell at 608-334-6435 or at her home at 920-261-1295. If that doesn't work you can reach board member Richard Kussenich at 608-643-8540. Or board member Jo Egelhoff 920-739-7785. Board member Edmund L Webster can be reached at his office at 715-842-0944

Check to see if you have the blocking feature on your phone, it usually lets you block up to 12 phone numbers. To find out, dial star 60 and a recording should walk you through the steps to block a phone number.

I've gotten a call daily from this number for the last three days. I let it go to voicemail, but there is no message. I too wish we could add any and all calls of this type to the DNC list. Thanks to those who provided info on the source of this call and what the call is about.

This is a robo calling number that neither leaves a message, nor responds when you answer. We have received MANY calls from this number. Another person reports this is Wisconsin Family Action. I left a voice message for them to remove my number from their robo callers list. Hopefully, they will. WI Family Action number is 866-849-2536 or 608-268-5074.

Keeps calling... leaves no message. I don't answer.
Sean 2014-03-29 16:27:43 Unknown
Agreed, these political and special interest robo calls are a pain and should be outlawed along with the rest of the solicitation calls.

Same thing as other folks have noted. This phone number has called us 5 times in the last 2 days. The pace will probably pick up since we're getting close to election time (just LOVE all the stupid political robocall messages).
Richard Jadin 2014-03-28 18:58:05 Unknown
This phone number has been calling at least three times per day for the past three weeks. We have caller ID so we do not answer the phone, yet it continues.
Racky 2014-03-28 15:49:26 Unknown
Several calls over the last couple of days. Since we do NOT know this number, we do not answer and let the machine pick up. Caller left no VM.
We just got rid of one annoying skip tracer (looking for someone with the same last name BUT no one in the immediate area/family knows who the person was) so I guess the political morons are now picking up the slack.

As a non-profit/political organization, American Family Action is exempt from the DNC list. The ability to add Political calls to the DNC is in the works but I've heard nothing about adding not-for-profit organizations. As far as I'm concerned, we should be able to block ALL calls, even Political and not-for-profit organizations and this organization is a good example of why we should be able to. Are they a not-for profit or are they political?
Today's three short questions are:
(After a bunch of preamble about Walker promising to curtail gambling growth in WI) Do you support increased gambling in the state? 1=Yes 2=No
Would you be willing to contact Governor Walker to ask him to keep his promise? 1=Yes 2=No
Are you generally in favor of unions? 1=Yes 2=No
FWIW, I got the call twice within 20 minutes.
John 2014-03-27 21:10:58 Unknown
Called left no message.
pam 2014-03-27 17:16:14 Unknown
Recording stated that they wanted to "ask me 3 short questions....".
I hung up. I recently switched to a carrier that offered unlimited call blocking. I use that feature every freaking day!
The "do not call" list is useless, in my humble opinion:(
Kas 2014-03-27 16:29:39 Unknown
I keep getting this call but no VM left and I am also on DNC list. I have caller ID but I am also a business and they should not be able to call businesses if they are exempt fro DNC list for donation reasons as previous folks have reported on here. Ugh this is getting OLD!!!

We have received numerous calls from this number but no messages are left. When I called this number, it stated that the mail box was full for Wisconsin Family Action. I looked up this website and it is a legitimate not for profit company that is reminding people to vote, etc. I called them and told them what has been happening and they said there was supposed to be a recorded message. I then requested that I be taken off of their call list as we are on the Do Not Call List and do not want any calls of this type. The lady was very nice and said she would do this for me. I told her that I do not agree that Not for Profit and political calls were exempt from the do not call list, but they should relook at their procedures and honor our rights also. She said that they pay a company to robo dial people to get their messages out, but I told her that I believe they should not pay anyone to call people at their homes and find other ways to get their message out. Just my thoughts
