Got a call from this number today. They did not leave a number. I can't believe that there is no way to stop these people from harrassing other people at home.

I just now got a call from this number and they hung up on my machine. They call every year and one time when I told them I lost my job and had no extra money the guy got real nasty.... Just hang up.... Also why can't they leave a message if they are the police and why is it an unknown number???? My police dept comes up under the the township name..... Scam big time and for many years. A shame is what it is....

A guy claims to be collecting from some police group. Doesn't sound legit. They also will call you repeatedly until they catch you at home. Ignore them.

Tonight was the second time I received a call from this "unknown"number. When I answered no-one responded. I Googled the number for the heck of it , and I am surprised at what I am reading. This organization is bogus. People are fooled thinking they are the PBA. A neighboring police officer advised to be aware of these scammers and just hang up.

Silence when I answered...then the guy asked if I was (my name) and I said yes. "Hi, Mr. XXX, this is Barry Burstein calling from the New Jersey Police Officers Association."
I hung up.

Called claiming they were raising money for a "NJ police officers + family" fund.
When questioned they admitted that only "up to 10%" of the funds raised went to the fund recipients.

A man asked to speak with my wife's ex-husband--they've been divorced for 23 years so he is using an old list. The New Jersey Police Association certainly is neither the PBA nor the FOP. I refused to speak with him. I can't find any independent proof of its existence.

Soliciting for "police depts." Police DO NOT solicit over the phone!

Got a call from this number today, aswered the phone. The voice sounded illegitimate and said it was a police. I hung up and tried to find more info. Read it is a spoofed number.
