It's become a running joke with my family. The person who had my cellphone (more than 3 years ago) must have been on tons of lists. I get spam calls from Security systems to insurance scams to that crazy Taquir Group that says I owe for magazines I've never heard of. I complain to all the sites possible for every call, but it's obnoxious.

I get this call at least 4 times a day, every day. It is  a recorded message. I hang up before it plays through.

First off you have to resister on the www.donotcall.gov web site, and then wait 30 days for your phone number to be put on the list. If you get unwanted calls after the 30 day period go back onto the web site and report the number. If enough people do this these unwanted calls will eventually stop. If you don't then its your own fall!!

there is also a place on that page (left hand side "file a complaint") to file a complaint against companies that continue to call.

I do not answer any numbers i do not know, but i will file a complaint against every single one and strongly suggest you all do the same.

Just got a message, called back and followed the prompts to have me removed from their database, didn't even have to listen to a sales pitch.  Do it, takes five seconds and you don't have to talk to anyone.

I got a call from the same number. They didn't leave a message. I think it is a marketing company. I am from California.

Got one 30 minutes ago in Long Island, NY. Didn't pick up; no message

Last called me Oct 25 2011; voicemail records only silence - no background noise, no click when they cut off. Have had several calls from this number, and have reported them to the Canadian Do Not Call registry (with which my numbers is registered).

Got a missed call on my cell from this number a couple of days ago and I live in Arizona. They did not leave a voice message and when I tried reverse look up, I found many people who got this same type of call.

Got a call today too.  I'm in Utah.  So there's no rhyme or reason to their calling list.  Just got this phone and already signing up at the Do No Call registry.  https://www.donotcall.gov/

It's completely random. Phone numbers simply work that way.
